  • Conveyor Systems Design Team Leader  

    - Cumbria

    Conveying Design Team Leader Location: Cumbria Industry: Engineering & Manufacturing Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 17:00 Salary: £55,000 - £65,000
    About the Role A leading global provider of high-speed machinery solutions is seeking a Conveying Design Team Leader to drive the design, development, and delivery of innovative conveying systems. This role offers the opportunity to manage a team, oversee project timelines, and collaborate with internal departments and external clients to deliver efficient, cost-effective solutions. Some international travel may be required (2–3 times per year). Key Responsibilities Design and visualise product lines using 3D and 2D CAD. Lead and manage the Conveying Design Team, ensuring high-quality outputs. Plan workloads and deadlines in coordination with senior management. Work with sales and systems teams to define project requirements. Oversee engineering change notes and corrective actions for continuous improvement. Ensure projects are delivered on time, to standard, and within budget. Identify and implement new processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
    Experience Essential Extensive engineering experience (HNC or equivalent qualification). Strong proficiency in SolidWorks & SolidWorks PDM. Experience in 3D modelling, technical drawings (ISO standards), and manufacturing processes. Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
    Desirable: Knowledge of Inventor, AutoCAD, and MRP systems (training available). Prior experience in a team leader role. Willingness to learn new software and CAD systems.

  • Maintenance Engineer  

    - Watford

    Position: Maintenance Shift Engineer Location: Watford, Hertfordshire Salary: £48,407
    TXM Recruit is partnering with a prominent automation and intralogistics company to hire skilled Maintenance Technicians for their flagship site in Watford, Hertfordshire. These roles involve maintaining and optimizing state-of-the-art machinery to ensure seamless operations at the distribution facility.
    Shift Pattern:
    • Shift:42 Hours a week, 12-hour shifts • Work Hours: Between 6AM-6PM and 6PM -6AM
    Key Responsibilities: • Perform mechanical disassembly and reassembly tasks, basic field wiring, equipment calibration, and system testing. • Efficiently manage time using CMMS, aiming for over 90% utilization. • Complete reactive repairs within set timeframes to minimize downtime. • Conduct servicing and repairs of installed products, taking hands-on ownership of issues to achieve swift resolutions. • Interpret electrical schematics and work confidently with 415V motor controls. • Prioritize health and safety by conducting thorough risk assessments. • Demonstrate strong mechanical skills, including the ability to read and follow assembly drawings. • Follow setup instructions, assembly guides, and checklists with precision. • Display exceptional attention to detail and follow-up capabilities. • Understand and work with control systems. • Communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders at all levels within the organization and customer environments.
    Skills and Qualifications Required:
    • Qualification at NVQ/BTEC/C&G Level 3 in Electro-Mechanical Engineering or a related field. • Familiarity with Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods and technologies. • Knowledge of PLC systems and their functionality. • Experience with pneumatics and hydraulics is an advantage. • Proficiency in basic Microsoft Office applications. • Experience using CMMS systems and managing engineering inventory. • A qualification equivalent to HNC/HND is preferred but not essential.
    Desirable Attributes: • Mechanical aptitude, including the ability to disassemble and reassemble equipment using technical diagrams. • Familiarity with 415V motor controls and understanding of PLC systems. • Awareness of health and safety standards, including conducting risk assessments. • Customer-oriented approach with effective communication skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels. • Willingness to learn, adapt, and participate in training programs, including potential travel within Europe.

    I am currently supporting a leading Formula 1 team in their search for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their highly skilled engineering division. This role is focused on suspension design, playing a critical part in optimizing performance, reliability, and safety on the track.

    Key Responsibilities
    Suspension System Design – Design and develop suspension components, including wishbone members, internal springs, and dampers Innovation – Explore new geometries, materials, and manufacturing techniques to enhance performance Simulation & Analysis – Utilize advanced simulation tools to evaluate suspension performance under various load conditions Collaboration – Work closely with cross-functional teams to seamlessly integrate suspension systems into the overall vehicle design Testing & Validation – Participate in testing programs to validate designs and ensure reliability.
    Qualifications & Experience •

  • We are looking for an experienced HGV/PSV/PCV Technician to carry out maintenance on a modern fleet of vehicles in Nottingham on a permanent basis.

    This role has a basic rate of £20.71 ph with enhancements for weekend (£24.62 ph) etc the role is working on a shift roster covering Earlies and lates working 5 out of 7 Ex forces, Heavy/ commercial automotive, plant and other transferable industries will be considered
