    If you are looking to broaden your industry experience and progress your career within cost management, our Manchester team are seeking experienced Cost Management Specialists at all levels.  You will have the opportunity to work on a range of industry leading infrastructure projects, across sectors including rail, aviation, marine/ports, utilities, highways and nuclear.As a Cost Management Specialist within the business, you will be working on some exciting projects as well as developing your skillset both operationally and technically.  We are keen to support those who are driven to progress their careers and we can offer you excellent training and advancement in qualifications and diversifying your portfolio.Job Objectives:Establishing friendly, professional and appropriate relationships with clients, colleagues and other parties involved in the projects and programmes we support.Administering a variety of contracts in accordance with project objectives and policies.Providing accurate project cost monitoring, forecasting and reporting to completion in line with budget.Pro-actively monitoring and managing cost variance and contract cash flow and ensuring that applications are made correctly and in a timely manner.Collaborating with client and contractor teams to manage the delivery of project deliverables, KPIs, and objectives, including programme performance, cost control, and value engineering.Managing contract change effectively, ensuring that projects remain within governance and adopt best practice.Driving improvements in the accuracy of forecasts and budgets.Proactively providing sound commercial knowledge and support to all stakeholders.Ensuring that final accounts are negotiated and agreed.Leading people and commissions as needed.

Provide compliance reports to stakeholders. Project team and stakeholder interface: Act as the main point of contact for all queries and issues relating to the CDE system. Training and guidance:  Organise and undertake regular training sessions on the purpose and use of the system for new users and refresher training for existing users. Maintain training logs and distribute user guides. Provide advanced training: Provide in-depth training for super users and administrators on advanced CDE functionality. Support and insights: Provide ad-hoc reports and information on system usage, compliance and assist with ad-hoc requests relating to user activity.  Desirable Skills & Experience Experienced Document Controller of 3+ years Consultancy experience favourable but not required Understanding of Building Information Modelling (BIM) in the context of Information Management and Document Control Understanding of ISO 19650 standards (particularly Part 2) and how it impacts Information Management and Document Control Administrator level experience using at least one of the following: Sharepoint, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Aconex, ViewPoint, Asite, Dalux  User level experience of at least one other CDE / EDMS or similar system. Advanced Microsoft Office skills. Use of advanced optional CDE / EDMS features, e.g. e-procurement, ACC Take-off  Personal skills The ability to work independently & be self-motivated The ability work in a diverse skilled team Clear communication skills to all project stakeholders Ability to lead project meetings Presentation skills Workshop skills Ability to lead and contribute to team meetings and discussions Inquisitive nature Methodical approach to delivering tasks Confident in challenging others.
