Department Details: Our client is a busy and friendly department supporting multidisciplinary teams in cancer specialties including breast, upper and lower gastro, lung, urology, gynaecology, head and neck, and haematology. Patient Activity Data: General Histology: 29,068 requests Diagnostic Cytology: 3,075 requests Dermatopathology: 8,631 requests Neuropathology: 1,231 requests Coronial post-mortem cases: 550 requests Frozen sections: 150 general, 250 neuropathology Approximately 90% of requests are from hospitals and 10% from General Practitioners. The department does not perform cervical cytology. Applicants must have full GMC registration; specialist registration is not essential. FRCPath qualification is desirable, but those with FRCPath Parts 1
