You will oversee key areas including gas, electrical, water management, asbestos, fire compliance and CDM, ensuring robust systems, accurate records, and a strong safety culture. You will play a vital part in driving a strong culture of maintenance safety and compliance, working closely with internal teams, contractors, and the College’s Health Safety and Fire function to ensure best practice is embedded across all activities. Key responsibilities will include monitoring and management of compliance across all property safety areas sitting within the Works Department, in addition to supporting the work of the Fire Officer who sits within the Health and Safety Team. Across all areas of compliance you will be required to maintain clear and robust records, ensure timely statutory checks are completed, monitoring performance against Compliance KPI’s through audits and site inspections. You must also possess strong data analysis skills to drive compliance improvement and contribute to the production of management reports.
