    The Senior Associate plays a crucial role in helping to maintain effective and efficient production services to support the Travelers Europe's strategic goals. This role helps to ensure we are able to support Underwriting community with comprehensive administrative support to facilitate the end-to-end underwriting lifecycle from pre-quote processing, delivering new business quotes, renewal terms, and endorsements across all lines of business.

    This role will be a subject matter expert (SME) for some of the underwriting operations capabilities – leading comprehensive training and development of the Associates and other key stakeholders.

Underwriting Lifecycle Support:Thoroughly review and monitoring in-scope submissions processing and clearance in line with agreed service levels.Manage work assignment and completion of tasks related to the underwriting lifecycle, including submissions analysis, new business and renewal quote preparation, non-renewals, technical accounting, document issuance, endorsements (financial and non-financial) and cancellations.Manage and support account documentation and document storage, including quotations, evidence of cover (policies), statements of values, engineering reports, actuarial pricing models, reinsurance contracts, policy endorsements, and cancellations.2. Data, Records and Document Management:Ensure in-scope underwriting submissions are stored and indexed, within service levels.Complete accurate and timely policy data entry, as required.Perform data cleansing and input additional risk information, ensuring accuracy in data quality, as required.Liaise with underwriters and brokers to process underwriting premium corrections efficiently, as required.3. Regulatory Compliance, Governance and Controls Assurance:Help to support Europe Operations Management team in closing Corporate Audit corrective actions and other related internal controls assurance work.Monitor and support all regulatory compliance (, treating customers fairly) as instructed and adhere with Travelers Enterprise values and policies.4. Standard Operating Procedures and Training:Play a key role in creating, maintaining, reviewing, and providing sign-off for Europe Operations standard operating procedures – ensuring compliance with agreed standard formats / templates.Oversee training and on-boarding, once qualified, to support Europe Operations (both onshore and offshore) and other TRV Europe business functions, as required.Role-model and promote process standardisation and best practices across Europe Operations.Role model high standards of SLA compliance (both at individual and team levels), lead root cause analysis of SLA gaps and champion timely remediation.5.     Under general supervision, this role supports the TRVE ERM programme by working on financial risks, mostly through model validation, and non-financial risks with Risk Owners (or subject matter experts) in the business units (or the first line of risk management). The role requires knowledge and application of Prudential Regulatory Authority (‘PRA’), Financial Conduct Authority (‘FCA’), Lloyd’s, Central Bank of Ireland (‘CBI’) and Bermuda Monetary Authority requirements.

    This is a second line role working across all principal risks (Insurance, Market, Operational, Credit, Liquidity and Strategic) in collaboration with other experts to achieve objectives. This role is responsible for developing and delivering value adding model validation and review of the capital modelling capabilities that support business financial decision making. This role assists with fulfilling regulatory requirements and consistently applying the RMF including the Capital Model and its uses and limitations.

    The Risk Manager provides advice, guidance and challenge, and drives engagement of ERM with key internal stakeholders and produces high quality reports suitable for external parties. The role leads production of the Own Risk and Solvency Risk Assessment (ORSA), Model Validation report, climate risk management information and others. The role contributes to maintaining risk documentation (policies and frameworks) and reporting through the Solvency and Financial Condition Report (‘SFCR’), Solvency Capital Requirement (‘SCR’) Methodology Document and others. This role does not currently have direct line management responsibility.

You’ll ideally have some previous experience in a similar role within Lloyds Property Binders and use this experience to support the Underwriters by processing new business, renewals and mid term adjustments. You’ll be responsible for analysing data, responding to ad hoc queries from stakeholders internally and externally and liaising with brokers.

This policy may be changed at the Company’s discretion.What Will You Do?Support the overall profitability, growth and retention of your assigned Line of Business and consistency of all related underwriting initiatives.Ensure that business is written in accordance with the Company's policies, procedures and controls (including audit requirements) at all times, and adheres to Lloyds Underwriting Management Standards ensuring business is only accepted in accordance with individual underwriting authority where relevant, with approval under the Lloyds Individual Registration Byelaw, and the Unit's business plan for the relevant year.Utilise appropriate systems to accurately enter quotes, risks and endorsements, so as to ensure correct management, statistical and regulatory reporting.Assist the underwriters on a day to day basis to ensure a timely and professional service to clients.Promote Travelers Line of Business, distribution strategy and philosophy and provide guidance on the Company's underwriting philosophy, procedures and requirements by building strong partnerships with Agents, Brokers and Customers.May gather data and prepare reports to support the professional execution of corporate/business underwriting policies/standards.Perform other duties as assigned.What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?Previous experience working within London Insurance Market preferred.Able to effectively share information and build team support.Able to communicate clearly.Able to develop effective working relationships internally and externally.Able to perform in a business professional manner with a positive attitude.Able to determine priorities and effectively schedule time.Able to ask for assistance in setting deadlines.Expected to either already be studying, or be willing to study towards ACII qualification through an apprenticeship.What is a Must Have?Previous work experience required.Previous experience of Windows MS Office.Secondary level education or equivalent required.What Is in It for You?Private Medical Insurance: On commencement of employment, you are eligible for single cover provided by Travelers, with the option to add cover for your dependents, at your expense through payroll deduction.Retirement: Travelers will make a core contribution of a percentage of salary to your Pension Plan.
