    We have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Electrical Engineer to join our team here at Trant. Initially, the Graduate Electrical Engineer will join our Water Division, where you will be working within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver clean and dirty water projects within the Wessex Water Region. Our Head Office is in Southampton and the counties in the Wessex Water region, include Wiltshire, Dorset, Gloucestershire & Somerset. Together with the Project Engineer, you will support various Engineers and Projects Managers whilst learning hands-on, the required techniques and knowledge used to complete design and project engineering functions. Predominantly working on waste water projects, this will include storm capacity upgrades and phosphorous removal schemes. This is an excellent opportunity for a Graduate to start their career, working with a talented multi-disciplinary engineering team whilst delivering interesting projects within a welcoming and supportive work environment. Reporting to the Project Manager, duties will include but are not limited to: Attend internal and external design review and progress meetings Produce and review electrical & mechanical design documentation Produce specifications and outline designs Procurement of electrical & mechanical equipment and support for subcontract procurement Ensure that site installation works and quality match both design and appropriate industry standards Record and Review as-built information Production of Risk Assessments and Method Statements Programme Updates Procurement schedules Qualifications/requirements: BEng/MEng in Electrical Engineering Competent in Microsoft Office Experience of CAD packages beneficial Full UK Driving licence Applicants must have the Right to Work in the UK without restrictions About the Graduate Scheme: The recently updated and improved Trant Graduate Scheme is offered to all Graduates joining the business. This a period of training and development over 24 months, where you are assigned a mentor to carry out basic training associated with your engineering discipline to enable you move from a Graduate Engineer to a Junior Engineer to a fully competent Engineer. The Graduate will join their engineering teams (being guided by a mentor) and will achieve competency in a range of engineering tasks. The Graduate Civil Engineer will work closely with, and be mentored by, the Site Engineer. The role involves Setting out and QA/QC, as well as supporting the Site Manager with Risk Assessments & Method Statements (RAMS). Projects include, but are not limited to, inlet schemes, storm storage, earthworks and increased treatment capacity schemes. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Pre-Contract Site Surveys Equipment Selection and Purchasing Definition of control system documentation (FDS, SDS, FAT, SAT) Creation of Risk Assessments, Method Statements, Site Progress Reports and other paperwork Configuration and programming of multiple PLC, HMI, SCADA and telemetry systems including: Siemens (S7, WinCC etc) Allen Bradley (ControlLogix, CompactLogix, SLC, Panelview etc) Schneider (M340, Magelis, Talus4e, Intouch, ClearSCADA etc) Mitsubishi (A, FX and Q range, Mitsubishi HMIs (Beijer) Skills/Background: A relevant degree or by experience A background of working as an Automation/Controls Engineer Client facing with excellent interpersonal skills Hard working and self-motivated Hands-on electrical skills/qualifications are desirable but not essential Either relevant engineering qualification or by experience Onsite Fault Finding and Modification of Electrical Control Systems desirable but not essential Experience of telemetry outstations such as the Serck PX24, Schneider Talus T4e & Seprol S2000 would be desirable, but not essential About Us: Te-Tech Process Solutions Ltd is part of the Trant Engineering Group.     Our Energy Division is growing again, and we are currently recruiting for a Project Manager with a background in the successful delivery of large Civil Engineering contracts, to join a site-based team on a large heavy civil engineering project near Chelmsford in Essex. Works comprise of RC structures, earthworks, drainage and integrating with M&E installations This is a large design & build project, currently in the early stages and is due for completion in 2027.
