    We have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Electrical Engineer to join our team here at Trant. Initially, the Graduate Electrical Engineer will join our Water Division, where you will be working within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver clean and dirty water projects within the Wessex Water Region. Our Head Office is in Southampton and the counties in the Wessex Water region, include Wiltshire, Dorset, Gloucestershire & Somerset. Together with the Project Engineer, you will support various Engineers and Projects Managers whilst learning hands-on, the required techniques and knowledge used to complete design and project engineering functions. Predominantly working on waste water projects, this will include storm capacity upgrades and phosphorous removal schemes. This is an excellent opportunity for a Graduate to start their career, working with a talented multi-disciplinary engineering team whilst delivering interesting projects within a welcoming and supportive work environment. Reporting to the Project Manager, duties will include but are not limited to: Attend internal and external design review and progress meetings Produce and review electrical & mechanical design documentation Produce specifications and outline designs Procurement of electrical & mechanical equipment and support for subcontract procurement Ensure that site installation works and quality match both design and appropriate industry standards Record and Review as-built information Production of Risk Assessments and Method Statements Programme Updates Procurement schedules Qualifications/requirements: BEng/MEng in Electrical Engineering Competent in Microsoft Office Experience of CAD packages beneficial Full UK Driving licence Applicants must have the Right to Work in the UK without restrictions About the Graduate Scheme: The recently updated and improved Trant Graduate Scheme is offered to all Graduates joining the business.     Our Energy Division is growing again, and we are currently recruiting for a Project Manager with a background in the successful delivery of large Civil Engineering contracts, to join a site-based team on a large heavy civil engineering project near Chelmsford in Essex. Works comprise of RC structures, earthworks, drainage and integrating with M&E installations This is a large design & build project, currently in the early stages and is due for completion in 2027. Reporting to the Contracts Manager, duties include but are not limited to; Responsible for project managing the design & build of a large civil engineering contract Working closely with the SHEQ team to ensure the safe delivery of works, updating on environmental issues and ensuring quality Managing and supporting the Site Manager and working closely with the commercial team, designers, planners and site teams Subcontract management Client interface; attending regular meetings with the client and reporting on design and project completion timelines Effective monthly reporting to the Contracts Manager Taking responsibility for the programmes Qualifications/Background: Civil Engineering background (either degree qualified or by experience) A background of delivering National Grid projects would be advantageous SMSTS CSCS First Aid About Us: Trant Engineering Ltd has a long history of engineering and construction excellence, delivering high quality EPC engineering and construction services throughout the UK and overseas.
