With a culture that celebrates curiosity, individuality, and progress, it's a school where both staff and students are encouraged to thrive.This is an exciting opportunity to support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, as well as those requiring assistance with behavioural and emotional regulation.About the Role:As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:Support children with SEMH and behavioural needs, both in the classroom and in designated specialist learning areasDeliver 1:1 and small group interventions tailored to individual pupil needsHelp manage behaviour and promote a positive, inclusive learning environmentWork closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff to ensure consistent and supportive provisionSupport the emotional wellbeing and social development of pupils with complex needsThe Ideal Candidate Will Have:Experience supporting children or young people with behavioural challenges or SEMH needs (school-based experience desirable but not essential)A calm, resilient, and adaptable approach to managing behaviourStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staffA genuine interest in inclusive education and supporting vulnerable learnersRelevant training or qualifications in behaviour support or special needs (., Team Teach, MAPA, CACHE, Psychology background) are a plusThis Role May Suit:Experienced Teaching Assistants, Learning Mentors, or Behaviour Support WorkersGraduates in Psychology, Education, Youth Work or similar fieldsIndividuals with lived or voluntary experience supporting children or young people with additional needsThose looking to build a career in education, SEN, or therapeutic support rolesStart Date: Immediate or negotiable
