About the Role:
Kinder Giggles Limited is looking for a motivated Modern Apprentice to join our nursery team. No essential skills are required—just a willingness to learn, good timekeeping, and a passion for working with children! There is potential for a permanent role after completing the apprenticeship, and opportunities to enrol in further apprenticeships and courses.
Apprenticeship Details:Programme: Level 3 Early Years Practitioner.Training Provider: Total Training Provision.As part of your apprenticeship, you will gain hands-on experience in a nursery setting while completing your qualification. Training and support are provided to help you succeed and develop your career in early years education.
Purpose of the Post:To be trained to carry out the role of a Nursery Practitioner or Nursery Assistant.To contribute to a high-quality, caring environment for children, creating a warm, friendly, and stimulating atmosphere where children can develop emotionally, socially, and educationally through both individual attention and group activities.
Key Areas:Work directly with children.Attend all training as outlined in your training agreement.Complete assignments on time.Work effectively as part of the team.Attend additional training as deemed appropriate by the manager.Liaise with your mentor and manager.

Mentor / Nursery Manager / Unit Leader
Duties and Responsibilities:Attend college and meet with the training provider, completing assignments on time.Participate in team meetings and share ideas.Under supervision, provide care for children including washing, changing, and feeding.Support the personal, social, and emotional needs of individual children.Provide adult interaction with children in the nursery.Attend all training relevant to the role as deemed appropriate by the manager or training provider.Maintain awareness of nursery policies including confidentiality.Work collaboratively with all staff and engage fully in the team.Attend out-of-hours activities, e.g., training, monthly staff meetings, parents’ evenings, fundraising events.
General Responsibilities:Contribute to safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards.Carry out duties in compliance with the nursery’s equal opportunities policy.Support the nursery as a whole, identifying where help is needed.Respect confidentiality of all information received.Provide a high-quality environment for individual children.Develop and maintain strong partnerships with parents/carers.Uphold the nursery’s standards and high profile at all times.Be aware of emergency and fire evacuation procedures.Understand responsibilities under sections 7 and 8 of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.Be willing to move to other areas of the nursery as part of training.
Working Hours:
40 hours per week over 4 days, with 1 day off
