Benefits: company pension plus shift allowance Our World leading industrial gases and engineering clienturgently require a Mechanic / Vehicle Technician The successful candidate will support the efficient and effective running of their Margam workshop Duties You will undertake planned and defect maintenance activities for both mechanical and cryogenic systems In addition, you will ensure vehicle maintenance is carried out in a timely manner and is accurately recorded You will be required to liaise with external maintenance providers and other bodies eg DAF, ATS, Michelin You will carry out the recording and allocation of all parts and their associated costs Furthermore, you will minimise any vehicle downtime and react to peak demands for vehicle availability, by working in a flexible and innovative way You will ensure all safety procedures are followed and will be expected to play a key role in our safety agenda Contributing and managing vehicle maintenance costs, identifying areas of cost reduction From time to time, you will take part in campaigns to support the company's service And finally, as part of this role you will undertake City & Guilds, NVQ's and equivalent qualifications in LGV vehicle maintenance Requirements Hold an LGV Cat C + E Licence for a minimum of 3 years with no more than 3 valid penalty points Hold a Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (DCPC) Have experience of maintenance operations with the initiative to prioritise your own workload Also, you have a thorough knowledge of the LGV Tester's manual You are computer literate, specifically using Office 365, Windows, Outlook , SAP You have experience in interacting with both external and internal customers You are a naturally highly safety conscious individual You enjoy and are able to work as part of a team Holding a current ADR Licence is desirable but is not essential as this can be trained You will work with integrity, role modelling the behaviours aligned to an all-inclusive workplace To Apply: This is a fantastic opportunity to join a World leader in its field and the position will offer job security as well as further development opportunities for the right person. Your Role Support the Architectural Design and Project Management section for the whole lifecycle delivery of new build, refurbishment and extensions of Council Properties and Facilities and in the delivery of major capital projects. In-depth knowledge of construction contracts, procurement methods, and industry standards. Proficiency in cost estimation software, project management tools, and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills. Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and work effectively under pressure.
