FLT Operator – Goods In & Dispatch
Chesterfield | £13.27 per hour + overtimeThorn Baker Industrial Recruitment is recruiting an experienced FLT Operator to join a long-established, fast-paced warehouse operation in Chesterfield. This is a long-term opportunity within Goods In and Dispatch, offering stability, overtime and progression.You will be operating Reach and/or Counterbalance forklifts to load, unload and move metal products, alongside general warehouse and manual handling duties. The role also involves receiving goods, picking orders and preparing items for dispatch.Key duties include operating FLT trucks, receiving and inspecting inbound materials, hand-packing and stamping billets, picking and preparing customer orders and maintaining a clean and safe warehouse environment.Shifts are rotating early and mid shifts:
Early: 6:00am to 2:30pm Mon-Thurs, 6:00am-10:00am Fri
Mid: 9:30am to 5:00pm Mon-Thurs, 10:00am-14:00pm FriPay is £13.27 per hour with enhanced overtime rates:
Weekdays at time and a half
Saturdays at double time
Sundays and Bank Holidays at double timeRequirements:
Valid Reach and/or Counterbalance FLT experiencePrevious Goods In, Dispatch or warehouse experienceStrong attention to detail and a reliable, team-focused approachComfortable using scanners or basic computer systems
