Hours: Monday-Friday 7:00am - 2:30pmA busy, well-established joinery workshop in Sutton in ashfield is seeking an experienced Bench Hand Joiner to support the production of high-quality bespoke interiors on a full-time, temporary to permanent basis.Key Responsibilities for Bench Hand Joiner:Manufacture and assemble bespoke joinery items, including internal walls, door frames and window frames, from technical drawings and specificationsWork confidently with a wide range of materials including MDF, laminates, veneered boards and hardwoodsUse appropriate hand tools and battery-powered drills safely and effectively during assembly and finishing processesEnsure all work is completed to a high standard of accuracy, finish, and craftsmanshipMaintain a safe and organised workstation, following workshop health and safety procedures at all timesWear appropriate PPE, including safety boots, glasses, and gloves, as requiredCommunicate effectively with supervisors and team members to support efficient project delivery
Requirements of Bench Hand Joiner:
Proven experience as a bench hand joiner in a workshop or production environment is essentialAbility to read and interpret joinery drawings with a clear understanding of construction methodsSkilled in the use of hand tools and cordless power tools, with a practical understanding of working with timber-based sheet materials and hardwoodsStrong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workGood time management and reliabilityTeam-oriented with a positive, proactive attitude
