    Role Overview
     
    We are looking for a proactive and hands-on IT Support Technician (1st/2nd Line) to help keep our fast-paced, technically driven organisation running smoothly. You will play a key role in ensuring our people have reliable access to the tools, systems, and devices they need to stay productive—whether they’re working on-site or remotely.
     
    With experience in customer-focused IT support environments, you’ll be confident assisting a smart and demanding user base, troubleshooting a wide variety of hardware, software, and infrastructure issues with professionalism and curiosity. You will take ownership of issues, drive them to resolution, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our IT environment.

    Provide 1st and 2nd line support to approximately 80 Windows 11 users working both on-site and remotely, ensuring issues are resolved promptly and escalated when required.Support and troubleshoot Microsoft 365 applications, including Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.Set up, configure, and decommission IT assets such as laptops, desktops, and Android mobile devices.Administer user accounts in a hybrid cloud environment.Perform basic Exchange Online administration, including troubleshooting and shared mailbox management.Onboard and offboard users, including account creation/deletion, device provisioning, permissions setup, and introductory training on core systems.Handle network port patching and assist with port-security-related issues.Support the sales team with our CRM platform (Pipedrive), ensuring smooth operation and troubleshooting issues (training provided).Manage and maintain backup solutions to safeguard critical business data.Troubleshoot issues with our 3CX VoIP system. 
    Required Skills & Experience

    Role Overview
    Thermoteknix is establishing a new Production Engineering team within R&D to transition products from development into robust, scalable manufacturing by performing hands on technical engineering.
     
    The Production Engineering Manager will lead and develop this new cross-disciplinary function, ensuring seamless transfer of products from R&D into repeatable, compliant and cost-effective production. Will deliver efficient, reliable and quality focussed manufacture.

    Role Overview  

    We are looking for a Production & Test Lead Technician to augment our current team in the electro-mechanical assembly and test of a variety of infrared thermal imaging related products. You will play a crucial role in the manufacturing and test processes, ensuring the efficient production of opto-electromechanical devices. Production involves job, batch and flow quantities and can range from cable assembly through to full system build and test. 
     

    Key responsibilities
    Execute: the assembly of electromechanical components and systems according to engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions. Testing: perform functional tests and quality checks on assembled electromechanical devices to ensure they meet performance and reliability standards. Troubleshooting: identify and resolve issues encountered during assembly and testing processes, utilising diagnostic tools and techniques. Documentation: maintain accurate records of assembly procedures, test results, and any deviations encountered during production. Update test configurations in line with ECNs Additional to the responsibilities listed you will collaborate closely with engineers and other production team members to optimise processes and resolve technical issues.About You
    Required Skills & ExperienceExperience in electromechanical assembly techniques, including soldering, wiring, and mechanical assembly. Familiarity with electronic, electrical and mechanical principles is essential. Troubleshooting, fault finding and debugging skills including the use of FlashPro and MicroSemi programming dongles and relevant software.Understanding of basic programming, Python, C# and use of HyperTerminal, Hex to Decimal to Binary. SMT soldering (to 0201) and pcb repair skills an advantage. Wiring and cable/harness assembly experience. Computer literate. The ability to read schematic designs and working knowledge of PCB design software. Proficient in the use of standard test equipment e.g. Oscilloscope, DVM, signal generator. Understanding of analogue and digital video processing an advantage. Understanding of clean room techniques for opto-mechanical assembly. Possess initiative, show attention to detail with a flexible yet analytical approach. Additional requirements

    About YouThe Quality Inspector supports Thermoteknix manufacturing by verifying that materials, components and finished products meet defined requirements, and that production procedures are followed consistently. Working closely with the Quality, Production and Purchasing teams, you will identify defects early, prevent escapes to customers, and help drive a culture of quality assurance (building in quality) rather than end-of-line inspection. 

     
    Key objectives include:
    Ensure only conforming products move forward in the production process.Identify defects early - before shipping and potential escape to customers.Reduce rework, returns and customer complaints.Support production as batches scale up by promoting repeatability through approved procedures. 
    Key Responsibilities
     
    Select output samples and perform inspections using appropriate methods (dimensional measurement, functional testing, and comparison to specifications).Carry out patrol and stage inspections at strategic points in production, removing non-conforming items from the line and supporting corrective action to prevent recurrence.Conduct daily Gemba walks and investigate defects on the red quarantine tables in a timely manner, supporting containment activities led by the HSEQ Manager.Complete inspections efficiently and effectively while maintaining awareness of expected ship dates.Communicate quality expectations and guidelines across production so quality is understood as enabling on-time, right-first-time delivery.Create and maintain inspection documentation and records that provide evidence of completed checks (including measurements, test results and traceability data).Maintain quality metrics and records (e.g., defects per day, rework checks, non-conformances and corrective actions).Support A3 root cause analysis teams by providing inspection input and insights.Champion 5S and housekeeping standards, helping maintain clean and organised workstations (training provided).Follow all applicable procedures and work instructions; identify and communicate opportunities for process improvement.Immediately report safety issues observed; monitor equipment use to ensure it is safe and well maintained, quarantining any equipment that does not meet requirements.Ensure adherence to ESD/FOD controls (wrist straps, PPE, etc.) and that COSHH risk assessments are followed.Carry out ESD floor and mat tests sitewide.Monitor cleanroom environmental conditions (dust, temperature and humidity).Ensure all calibrated equipment is within calibration period; notify the HSEQ Manager if calibration is due within two weeks.Manage and carry out calibration of torque tools and manage Go/No-go gauges. 
     
    Required Skills & Experience
     
    Proven experience as a Quality Inspector or in a relevant inspection / manufacturing quality role.Knowledge of quality control standards and testing methodologies; familiarity with quality testing machines, systems and automated test procedures.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and work instructions.Basic soldering and quality inspection skills with reference to IPC standards.Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality standards; ISO 9001:2015 internal audit experience is an advantage.Working knowledge of MS Office and the ability to generate clear, accurate reports.Strong written communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make timely decisions under pressure.
