    This Page Editor is responsible for repurposing digital content for print editions of The Daily Telegraph and Sunday Telegraph, with particular focus on the Sport section over the weekend. In this three-day-a-week role, you will ensure pages are published and subbed to the highest quality and on deadline. They will be assisted in this by design and picture resource.The role requires excellent editorial judgment, time management, communication, the ability to make quick decisions, the skill of crafting sharp headlines, a keen eye for pictures and detail, and a track record of delivering high-quality newspaper pages to daily deadlines.Key ResponsibilitiesWorking as part of the print production team to take the best of the Telegraph’s digital and live Sport content and present it in the newspaper.Assisting in the editing and curating of Sport sections, helping decide what published or scheduled digital content should appear in print.Managing and editing a certain number of pages to deadline each day, fitting and repurposing copy that has been subbed for web and rewriting headlines when appropriate.Briefing and working with page designers to present articles in the best way for the paper. This may involve the adaptation of visuals used first for digital or the development of new ones to work for print.Working quickly when necessary to meet print deadlines.Proofreading pages.Maintaining a flexible approach to help production of other sections when required.Working every Saturday, and alternate Sundays, as part of a three day week.Key Skills Experience of editing and production at a national newspaper.Ability to work efficiently, make best use of resources and collaborate with colleagues.A proven record for accuracy and attention to detail; imagination in writing headlines and in the display of pages; an understanding of what makes a good picture, a superior understanding of language and its correct usage.An understanding of how multimedia digital stories and images can be translated into engaging articles in print.Copy-editing, proofing, subbing and production to a high standard.Effective communication and collaborative skills.Strong news sense and judgment.Our benefitsThe nature of our industry means life at the Telegraph Media Group is fast-paced, demanding, and interesting.     You will ensure your code is delivered to the highest standard in line with the product goals, on time and within budget, and you will be part of the rota to provide technical support for the systems in production.You will collaborate in the development of our performance and verification pipelines, and the cloud infrastructure required to run these, with the constant aim of full automation, sharing your knowledge and experience with other engineers.
