Furniture Technician Our client is a well-established furniture & upholstery restoration business currently going through an exciting period of growth across the UK, Scotland and Ireland, with ambitious plans for the future. They're looking for an experienced Furniture Technician, Upholsterer, Furniture Restorer or Upholstery Specialist to join the team, carrying out furniture repair and restoration work in customers' own homes. If your background is in domestic furniture manufacturing, upholstery, French polishing, furniture spraying or restoration, this role offers strong earning potential, genuine progression and a well-rounded benefits package. What you'll be doing: Visit customers in their own homes to inspect furniture and upholstery, diagnosing the repair or restoration work needed Carry out repairs to upholstered furniture to a high standard, using the tools, materials and restoration kits provided Produce clear, accurate written reports for both the business and the customer following each visit Advise customers on ongoing product care and maintenance Represent the business professionally and deliver a consistently excellent standard of customer service What we're looking for: Significant hands-on experience in domestic upholstery, furniture repair, or furniture production and restoration techniques Strong working knowledge of modern furniture materials and repair methods Confident written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write clear customer-facing reports Well organised, proactive and methodical approach to your work Able to remain calm and effective under pressure and to tight deadlines Comfortable working independently, using your own initiative, as well as part of a wider team What's on offer: Basic salary from £33,710, with realistic total earnings of £37,500 to £41,370 or more with additional overtime at your request Performance-related bonus of up to an additional £200 per month on top of all these earnings.
