  • Overview:The Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) is seeking a talented Senior Salesforce Administrator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will design innovative solutions and manage the analysis, configuration, and reporting within our Salesforce platform. You will also establish and enforce Salesforce policies, ensuring adherence to configuration standards, test coverage, and the use of approved Salesforce apps. You will collaborate with key stakeholders to gather and define requirements for Salesforce development. Additionally, you will lead the design and implementation of complex automation and integrations, ensuring scalability and efficiency. You will oversee and enforce rigorous QA procedures, ensuring best practices are defined and adopted. We are looking for someone with proven experience in implementing Salesforce, with a focus on complex automation and integration. Key requirements: Salesforce Certified Administrator with proven experience, desirably with Lightning implementation and Process/Workflow Builder knowledge Proven experience with Salesforce, including Lightning implementation, Process/Workflow Builder, and Apex/Visualforce Excellent understanding of Salesforce platform key concepts, best practices, and functionality, including custom objects, reports, dashboards, formulas, validation rules, workflows, and approval processes Experience in designing and implementing complex automation and integrations, with knowledge of Apex, Visualforce, and Salesforce development best practices. Proficiency in data management and security, including data imports, exports, data quality, data modelling, data governance, and understanding of data protection policies (e.g., GDPR). Experience with third-party applications and integrations Ability to lead and influence the technical direction of large, complex, cross-functional solutions, including managing relationships with 3rd parties Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical issues to non-technical audiences and communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation Technical writing ability to support requirements gathering, solution design, use cases, test plans and documentation for training Exceptionally high level of attention to detail, supported by meticulous, logical documentation. As CRM Manager, you will lead the strategic direction of the RSC’s customer relationship management strategy and supporting systems. Leading a small team, you will focus on supporting the organisation in building strong customer relationships at scale across all the geographies that we operate in, improving operational efficiency, and driving business growth. This will be in collaboration with colleagues across the organisation to drive customer acquisition and retention, revenue growth, and deliver against the platform roadmap: Stakeholder Relationship management Lead with influence and impact, working with stakeholders across the organisation to understand their business needs and scope the associated technical requirements. Communicate the CRM strategy and technical operations to other teams and, where necessary, formally present at internal and external meetings. Key requirements: Proven experience of CRM best practice and trends, including Salesforce. Extensive knowledge of the Salesforce platform, including Sales, Marketing, and Service Cloud. Experience administering a large Salesforce/CRM implementation. Strategic and outcome-focused approach. Able to take a strategic approach to solution design, with proven ability to develop and execute tactical plans to support strategy; experienced in leading and delivering projects at both enterprise and operational levels.   • Overview:  We have a unique and exciting opportunity to join the Royal Society of Chemistry as a Science Policy Intern. This internship is for 6 months to start from June-July 2025 and can be completed either on full time or part time basis (28-35 hours per week).   In this role, you will conduct desk research, review scientific and grey literature, analyse data, and present your findings to persuade decision-makers and inform RSC members. You will support events and round tables, organise workshops, and contribute to developing policy positions. This role involves administrative and research support within the Policy and Evidence Team, addressing key topics such as scientific relationships, chemicals policy, environment, funding, skills, innovation, and climate change.   We are looking for someone with strong research skills and excellent communication abilities.   At the RSC, we embrace flexibility and offer hybrid working, which means our teams come together when they need to collaborate. This role is in the Policy and Evidence team, which is spilt between the Cambridge and London offices, with some members also home based.    This role is contractually based at our London or Cambridge office.  You will have the opportunity to also work mostly from a UK location other than this, or at home, as agreed with your line manager. Policy Support:  Assist the Policy & Evidence team with evidence-collecting work, particularly in education policy and net zero initiatives. Administrative Tasks:  Provide support for policy meetings, focus groups, and round table discussions. We are looking for:   Educational Background:  Degree in chemistry, other sciences, chemical engineering, or related fields, with knowledge of chemistry (minimum GCSE level, ideally A-Level/Scottish Higher). Research Skills:  Ability to find, understand, and evaluate information, draw conclusions, and explain findings clearly. Communication Skills:  Strong oral and written communication skills, ability to summarise discussions, write clear documents, and negotiate politely.
