The duties will include pre, intra and post-operative management of surgical patients, assisting with the care of the patients on the ITU, a full range of obstetric anaesthesia and on-call work, including resuscitation calls. The duties will include pre, intra and post-operative management of surgical patients, assisting with care of the patients on the ICU, and provision of assistance with resuscitation calls. The post holder may be involved in teaching and supervision of other doctors and medical students, nurses and other healthcare professionals. The post holder will be expected to participate in all aspects of the on-call rotas. The department manages three tiers of cover Theatre, Obstetrics and ITU and rotation through any and all of these disciplines is expected of the candidate, as required to meet the needs of the department. All rotas are EWTD compliant in line with the 2016 Junior Doctor Contract and 2019 amendments to this contract.
