The Padel Loft is the UK’s only university-dedicated padel operator, on a mission to revolutionise student sport by making padel accessible, affordable, and community-led across campuses nationwide. We work in partnership with universities to deliver facilities that put students first - combining sport, social connection, and wellbeing in a way that feels genuinely inclusive.
Our model is different from traditional padel clubs. We focus on high participation, strong communities, and student-led programming, creating environments where people play regularly, meet new friends, and feel part of something bigger than just a padel match.
In May 2026, we’ll be opening a brand-new padel facility at Aston University, and we’re now building the founding team who will help bring it to life.
The Padel Loft Aston will launch as a three-court outdoor padel facility, located directly on the university campus. The site will operate year-round, with opening hours of 9:00am–10:00pm on weekdays and 9:00am–9:00pm on weekends, serving students, staff, and the wider Birmingham community. There is also clear potential for future expansion, including additional courts and the option to cover the facility over time.
Key Responsibilities
Coaching & Programme Development
Design and deliver structured coaching programmes
Run beginner, intermediate and advanced group sessions
Deliver one-to-one private lessons
Support development of university teams and competitive players
Create term-based coaching blocks aligned with student calendars
Develop junior or introductory pathways where relevant
What we are looking for
LTA Accredited Coach (Padel or Tennis with padel experience preferred)
Strong understanding of player development pathways
Experience coaching mixed-ability groups
Confident leading group sessions
Commercial awareness (understanding lesson conversion & retention)
Energetic, community-focused personality
Comfortable working with students and young adults
