    Data Protection Manager We are looking for an experienced Data Protection professional to provide privacy compliance advice to Connells Group Companies, primarily helping to identify and manage privacy risks arising from strategic transformation programmes. You will also support the operation of the Second line privacy compliance framework e.g. advising on breach management, individual rights responses, marketing queries. ROPA, Group Standards etc. as well as undertaking targeted reviews of processing activities. The transformation aspect to the role allows the opportunity to work with cross-functional teams throughout the group such Group Technology, Security, Legal, Enterprise Risk, People Team as Group Companies, and external third-party providers. Initiatives to support include System transformation projects, Data Governance, Process and Customer Service transformations, digital transformation, and new product launches This role will be based in Milton Keynes 3 days per week with some travel to Leighton Buzzard and 2 days from home. Your responsibilities will include: Provide privacy advice to strategic change programmes via Data Protection Impact Assessments, papers/presentations and attendance at project meetings, highlighting risks and their potential impact while collaborating with stakeholders on mitigating actions. Review Data Protection Operational processes in Group Companies that support compliance Propose solutions to process inefficiencies and act to remediate, seeking feedback from Data Protection colleagues but also working with other Group functions. Participate in discussions with Senior Management, providing views on technical questions based on extensive knowledge of Data Protection law and experience. Undertake assurance reviews on regulations ensuring business units understand control gaps and working with the business to agree actions to close gaps. We are looking for someone who has: Data Protection experience in a large, diverse, commercial B2C and B2B group At least 5 years experience in a second-line Data Protection role. Experience working with in a commercial B2C marketing environment. Experience with new technology, platforms, and software solutions (including arrangements and requirements with third parties).
