In return, we develop individuals to be the best they can be and help them along their career paths.Purpose of the Position:To ensure all customer deliveries are completed in a professional manor. To ensure all driver tasks are completed at start and end of shift and all legislation is complied with.Key Activities & Responsibilities:· To ensure that all start of shift checks are carried out and all defects / damage is reported· To ensure that you are fully briefed for your run and you are issued with your run box containing all relevant keys and POD’s· To check you have all the POD’s for the deliveries on your route· To ensure you have all the relevant deliver guides· To ensure you are legally compliant to carry out your days’ work· When delivering to a customer’s site ensure all goods are put in the correct storage areas this will mean taking the goods to the relevant fridges and freezers with in the restaurants· Ensure all goods are handled with the correct care required· Ensure any issues are reported to the Transport office at the time they occur· When issued with Vanlogic make sure all deliveries are recorded and adequate photos are taken· On return to the depot ensure all end of day checks are carried out· Ensure vehicle is refuelled and cleaned· On de-brief check in all Pod’s, customer keys and Vanlogic phone· Complete driver dispatch sheet and VC40· Download your digital tachographs cardThis Role Involves:· Ensuring your vehicle complies with legal requirements, reporting issues to your Transport office· Ensure the security and accuracy of delivery of the loads in your charge· Complying with Safe Loading and Health and Safety Laws at all times· Communicating with external customers and liaise with internal customers where appropriate· Following delivery instructions accurately and effectivelyThe working week is an average of 48 hours over 17 weeks.Salary is £42,000 per annum.Please note:This description is based on the company’s assessment of the requirements and functions of the job as of the date the description was prepared. You will be professional and safety conscious in your outlook, with a helpful and productive attitude.Shift Patterns: 5/6 days out of 7 (weekend work required)10am-7pm2pm-11pm- must have a forklift licenseAs a Freezer Operative some of your responsibilities will include:· Confirm arrival quantities against expected consignment reports and liaise with Quality Control and supply chain teams..     Responsibilities as a Buyer will Include :

    Sourcing Strategy
    & Supplier Management:

    Drive
    improvements in cost, quality, and first-time availability across the

    with Quality and Technical teams to ensure product specifications meet
    operational and legal requirements.

    Minimize
    product waste and track waste levels regularly.

    Collaboration &
    Communication:

    Support
    Sales with timely sourcing and competitive pricing for new products, including
    during Tender submissions.

    Ensure
    business continuity by identifying and planning for supplier contingency
    requirements.

    Resolve
    day-to-day supplier issues with professionalism and speed.

    stock management and help resolve operational issues related to product supply.
