You will play a key role in supervising children, supporting activities and ensuring their wellbeing at all times. There may also be opportunities to assist with our Holiday Club programmes.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESDuring Term TimeSupervise and engage pupils attending Out of School CareEnsure the safety and wellbeing of all children at all timesSupport and deliver fun, creative activities, including outdoor play and local tripsSet up and clear away activity areas and resourcesPrepare and manage snacks in line with food hygiene standardsMaintain accurate registers and ensure all children are accounted forFollow safeguarding and child protection procedures at all timesSupport children with medical needs, allergies or any additional requirementsAssist with collecting children from clubs where requiredContribute ideas to enhance activities and overall service deliveryProvide basic administrative and clerical supportAdminister first aid when requiredABOUT YOUThe successful candidate will be:Patient, caring and enthusiastic about working with childrenFlexible, adaptable and a strong team playerTrustworthy, responsible and highly organisedCommitted to maintaining high standards of care and professionalismPassionate about supporting children’s development and wellbeingEssential RequirementsPlayleader/Early Years qualification (SCQF Level 6)Registered with the SSSCExperience working with and supervising young childrenStrong communication skills with children, families and colleaguesUnderstanding of safeguarding and relevant care standardsAbility to engage children in creative and practical activitiesDesirable Skills & ExperienceFirst Aid qualification (or willingness to obtain within 3 months)Food hygiene certificateExperience in a school or out of school care settingExperience supporting children with additional or complex needsBasic IT skills (eg.
