    A national RBCA are currently seeking a Registered Building Inspector in Northampton. The site-based role involves a variety of contractor and developer led housing and flats from foundation to completion. Building Inspector responsibilities Check plans for compliance with Building Regulations, structural warranty criteria, and associated guidance Undertake inspection of works and produce detailed inspection records Issue initial notices, plan certificates, amendment notices and final certificates Ensure inspections have been carried out, with appropriate certification submitted, and that defects/non-conformities have been addressed prior to issuing final certificate Operate in accordance with QMS procedures Provide mentoring and support for trainee surveyors Attend client meetings as required Building Inspector requirements Class 2A / 2B / 2D Registered Building Inspector (or otherwise actively engaged in the registration process) Construction-based experience Experience of residential developments from foundation to completion Interpersonal skills Effective verbal and written communication skills Knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, and environmental concerns IT literate Benefits Starting salary circa £48,000 - £55,000 Company car / car allowance Bonus Healthcare Payment of 2 professional subscriptions Ongoing training and development For more information regarding the Building Inspector vacancy or to discuss similar positions please contact 01332 505506.
