    Purpose of Job The Analyst, Cost Management HR, engages in cost management business partnering, This role falls under the HR Finance business unit's mandate of financial and budgetary control of the administrative expenditure for which the HROD MD is responsible. The Analyst provides detailed expenditure analysis as part of the annual budget process, productivity analysis, and monitoring of budget execution. The role provides direct support to the Principal, HR Business Manager in work to challenge and advise budget holders in the use of their budgets and in preparing resource proposals and other specific analysis, as needed. The Analyst provides detailed expenditure analysis as part of the annual top-down budget process, productivity analysis, support payroll financial activity, ensure correctness of primary records and monitoring of budget execution. The Analyst provides input to the preparation of specific sections of Bank documents issued to senior management and to the Board. The role requires maintaining the relevant policies, procedures and processes related to resource management, including budget and accounting guidelines and for staffing related issues. Accountabilities & Responsibilities Accountabilities and responsibilities for this role are to be conducted under supervision of the Principal, Cost Management Business Partner. Active monitoring of business plan and budget execution of respective departments under client responsibility, reviewing directly with departments as necessary Support the SIP process by capturing the required cost management information including staff and non-staff costs Provide advice and guidance to budget holders, after seeking guidance and assistance where necessary Attend meetings on the Principal’s behalf, as necessary As directed, provide specific resource analysis for Senior Management Monitoring and reporting of expenses against agreed budgets on monthly basis and providing commentary / insight Undertake regular forecasts with the business and tracking of agreements and work with the business on resolving where deviations are likely. Performing tasks under cost management responsibility – review use of staff costs, regular tracking of contingency budget utilisation, use of management provisions, etc.

    The Analyst contributes to all activities in the area of green strategic communication and engagement. The Analyst will take responsibility for the tasks assigned to them by the operation leader or more senior members of the project team, which includes developing briefing notes for senior management, contributing to corporate reports, managing communication tools and, under the guidance of the operational leader, contribute to developing communications around flagship programs and initiatives in the green space. Accountabilities & Responsibilities
    Under the guidance of the operation leader: • Briefing notes for senior management: Coordinating the development of briefing notes for the President and Vice Presidents, including liaising with colleagues in CSD to obtain input, drafting briefing notes and coordinating CSD deliverables with colleges in the President’s Office, Corporate Strategy, the Communication Department, and banking teams.
    • Corporate reports and other communication products: Coordinating CSD input for corporate reports, such as the Impact Report and the Annual Report, including liaising with CSD management to identify relevant projects/programs and a narrative, drafting input, and coordinating with other departments, including the Impact Team and the Communication Department. It also includes acting as the CSD focal point for the external website and the intranet, ensuring that these platforms are up to date by providing the latest and relevant information. 
    • Managing communication tools: This includes maintaining and further developing the depository of briefing notes and CSD presentations and setting up a database of relevant stakeholders in different sectors which will be used for targeted external communication and event invitations and/or speaker invitations. 
    • Training: Supporting the development of internal training courses and external capacity building initiatives.
    • Supporting flagship engagement activities in the green space: This includes but is not limited to supporting engagement and communication initiatives that the Bank undertakes in the green space, such as supporting the development of new communication approaches for the Bank’s green strategy; branding flagship programmes and working with the Communication Department on specific communication campaigns.
    • Internal and external events: Supporting the conceptualisation and organisation of events, including high-level annual conferences, such as the Green Cities Conference and/or the Pathways to Paris conference for financial institutions, as well as CSD side events at EBRD Annual Meetings and international events, including COP. Tasks include supporting the development of event concepts and scripts and identifying and briefing speakers. It also includes conducting desk research on latest trends in event management, including formats for in-person and virtual events and distilling findings in guidance notes. The Assistant Analyst, Payroll is output driven and must work within strict deadlines to ensure that these are met. The role is primarily focussed on the delivery of all payroll and benefit related aspects of an employee's contract of employment. The will enter and validate information in the Bank’s payroll system related to the employees’ contractual terms and conditions and all relevant benefits. Accountabilities and Responsibilities  Validate and administer all Benefit Claims, providing advice and clarification on associated policies. Investigation of anomalies, offering solutions and making judgement calls where necessary. Accountable for the data entered into SAP for all Joiners, Movers and Leavers (JML) activity and other lifecycle changes ensuring all benefits entered are in accordance with EBRD policies.     Purpose of Job The Principal will work with Associate Directors, Heads of Sector and Directors in the relevant ESD team to deliver the Bank’s commitments under its Environmental and Social Policy, covering environmental and social appraisal and monitoring of the Bank's portfolio of projects and activities in various sectors; oversight and verification of the Bank's approaches, assessments, monitoring, reporting and verification of environmental, social, green and other commitments relevant to ESDs mandate. The Principal will contribute specialist input to the appraisal and monitoring of a range of projects and sectors, including complex and high-risk projects. The Principal, InvestEU position entails ensuring that projects under InvestEU and the RRF align with EU environmental and social policies & requirements through thorough Environmental and Social Proofing. This includes planning, formulating, and managing due diligence approaches in line with ESD Assurance processes, ensuring projects meet EU environmental and social policy and regulatory requirements, and coordinating with various teams. The Principal is required to have a good understanding of key EU legislation such as the Industrial Emission Directive (IED), EU EIA Directive, EU Habitats Directives, Battery Directives, SFDR, CSRD, REACH, RoSH, WEEE etc. In addition to conducting in-house due diligence and monitoring and overseeing external consultants, the role requires ensuring adherence to EU Sustainability Proofing methodologies, and leading discussions with EU institutions. The Principal will need to have a good understanding of the EU development consent process and approval by Competent Authorities. The Principal will manage all necessary E&S documentation for EU approvals, provide early-stage support on technical cooperation and project preparation, monitor implementation, and update donors. Background ESD works closely and interacts daily with the banking teams and other departments as relevant to drive the shared agenda of sound environment and sustainable development. ESD is a team of specialists responsible for the environmental and social appraisal, assessment and monitoring of Bank's portfolio of projects and activities in various sectors. ESD is responsible for, and the custodians of, the Environmental and Social Policy (ESP). Main interaction is with the Banking teams during project development and implementation, where an active participation is expected from ESD in assessing gaps against applicable policy provisions, identifying, and developing solutions and opportunities, and thereby ensuring compliance as well as increased environmental and social transition impact, delivering sound environment and sustainable development. Within its mandate, ESD: conducts oversight and verification of the Bank's approaches and assessments, interacts frequently with the Board, banking and external stakeholders, is responsible for data collection and data management, is responsible for standards and minimum requirements, oversees and assesses environmental and sustainability-related risk, is responsible for monitoring, reporting, verification, is responsible for the ESP and related policy management and policy development, methodologies, and guidance. When acting as facilitator on an aspect of work, the Principal will have full responsibility for managing delivery of a particular sub – project, project, task, or activities. Knowledge of international good practice environmental, social and climate standards/guidelines (e.g. European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Environmental and Social Requirements, International Finance Corporation (IFC) Performance Standards, Equator Principles, Paris Agreement alignment, Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), Task Force on Nature-Related Financial Disclosures (TNFD), International Sustainability Standards Board (SSB), the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), sector guidelines, etc). Familiarity with the countries in which the Bank operates / plans to operate Track record in project management, leading/contributing to multi-disciplinary teams and delivering a solution-orientated and risk-assessment based approach. Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work independently or lead or be part of a team. Effective time management and organisational skills and ability to multi-task and delegate tasks.
