    Job Role:
    Supporting students with SEMH needs as a Behaviour Mentor, both in class and during intervention sessions.Acting as a positive role model and trusted adult for pupils who need additional emotional and behavioural support.Developing and implementing strategies to promote positive behaviour and reduce challenging incidents.Working closely with teachers, teaching assistants, and the pastoral team to ensure consistency in behaviour management.Using your experience as a Behaviour Mentor to de-escalate situations calmly and effectively.Supporting students with social skills, emotional regulation, and resilience building.Encouraging engagement with learning and helping students to re-integrate into classroom settings.Monitoring pupil progress, behaviour, and attendance, and reporting to the SENCO and senior staff.Delivering targeted behaviour interventions as a Behaviour Mentor to small groups or individuals.Creating a safe, structured, and nurturing environment where students can develop trust and confidence.Requirements:

    The Role
    We are recruiting confident and reliable Cover Supervisors to work across a range of secondary schools in Wolverhampton. This role involves supervising classes during teacher absence, ensuring students remain on task and follow the work set by teaching staff.
    Opportunities are available for both day-to-day flexibility and long-term placements, making this an excellent option for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced school support staff looking for consistent work in education.
     
    The Candidate
    The successful candidate will be calm, professional, and confident working with secondary-aged pupils. You should be:
    Experienced working with KS3 and KS4 students (school-based experience preferred)Confident with classroom and behaviour managementAble to engage students and maintain a positive learning environmentReliable, adaptable, and organisedInterested in gaining further experience within secondary education 
    The Schools
    You’ll be working across a range of secondary schools in Wolverhampton, including Good and improving schools with supportive staff teams and clear behaviour policies. Schools offer welcoming environments and opportunities to build long-term relationships where placements are extended.
