MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Supporting service users to maximise their independence and well-being through facilitating access to a range of internal and external vocational, learning and recreational opportunities. To work in conjunction with relevant colleagues to develop and deliver bespoke vocational, learning and recreational programmes to meet individuals' identified outcomes and goals. To develop and deliver group sessions within the service that meet service users identified outcomes. To develop partnerships with external vocational/learning and recreational providers to maximise vocational/learning/recreational opportunities for individuals both within and external to the service. To contribute to the development of Service User goals and outcomes in relation to vocational, learning and recreational opportunities. To identify and organise and co-ordinate a range of activities to meet the rehabilitation goals and personal interests of service users Undertaking risk assessments for vocational/learning/recreational activities identified Supporting service users in participating vocational/learning/recreational activities Design, implement and lead, in conjunction with others from the clinical team, individual and group based activities which support rehabilitation goals To contribute to reviews and other professional and team meetings, ensuring accurate record keeping of service user progress To contribute to goal setting and rehabilitation review reports as appropriate. Main Purpose  To work as a specialist within the multi/inter disciplinary team providing physiotherapy input within the BIRT neurobehavioural model to people we support with acquired brain injury. Main Tasks and Responsibilities Clinical / Professional Practice  • To work within a specialist clinical area as an autonomous professional with support and supervision (which may be remote) or a more senior Physiotherapist for more complex cases. You would be working as part of a multidisciplinary team with rehabilitation support workers, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, clinical psychologists, neuropsychologists and therapy assistants. The Role: As a Clinical Psychologist you will work as part of a multi disciplinary team to provide clinical psychology and neuropsychology input to service users with acquired brain injury. You will liaise with internal and external professionals, family members and service users. Main Responsibilities: To provide specialist psychological/neuropsychological assessment of adults with acquired brain injury referred and related services, utilising and interpreting information from a variety of sources including psychological and neuropsychological tests, self report scales, direct and indirect structured observations and semi-structured interviews with service users, family members and others involved in the service user’s care. To coordinate the people we support care as appropriate and agreed with your supervisor, in the role of keyworker To formulate and implement plans of specialist psychological and/ or neuropsychological intervention to support the neurorehabilitation of adults with acquired brain injury as part of the multi/inter disciplinary team, based on current evidence-based best practice. To elicit personal goals from people we support and translate this to specific, measurable, achievable, relevant timed SMART goals with the team. To undertake psychological therapeutic and rehabilitation interventions, drawing on a range of psychological models and employing a range of modalities (individual, family and group) adapted and tailored to the needs of the individual and the context and ongoing evaluation of the outcomes of the intervention.
