    Job Role: Team Leader (Days OR Nights)

    Salary: £15.14 per hour
    Hours: Full-Time - 36 hrs and 45 mins per week / Part Time 24 hrs and 30 mins per week Flexibility is required to work within the rota system in order to meet the needs of the residents. If you are passionate about making a difference to the lives of others and caring for people who have a learning disability and associated complex needs we would love to meet you! The Service Twisel Lodge in Holywood Co. Down, is a residential home, registered with RQIA to provide services for 8 adults who have Learning Disabilities and associated complex needs. For most of our residents Twisel Lodge is their home however as part of the eight-person service, we also provide a 'respite' facility through which adults with learning disabilities can come and stay with us for a break. This service provides an opportunity for the main carers to get a break from caring duties and enables them to refresh and to be able to continue their caring role. The Role The team leader will support the Registered Manager to develop and implement personalised care plans and individual risk assessments to meet individual needs. They will support the Registered Manager to ensure the delivery of quality care. The role requires participation in the delivery of person-centred care, including personal care and promotion of a team approach at all times with positive and constructive working relationships for the benefit of the service user.     Please note: Due to the nature of our work with young people, the majority of the Service is delivered late afternoons, evenings and weekends (not Sunday)

    The Service Short Breaks is a fun and exciting service providing individual support to children and young people with, disabilities, autism and brain injury some of whom may display behaviours that challenge.

    The service proves one to one social and emotional support to children and young people. To enable them to develop friendships and access social and recreational opportunities within their local community, whilst providing parents and carers with a regular short break.

    The Role

    The Project worker will work to enable young people to access a range of fun activities within their own home or their local area on a one-to-one basis. It may be attending a local youth club, educational play such as arts and crafts or supporting the young people in sporting or other social/leisure activities.

    The Project Worker will provide personal care and transport to young people where necessary, and this may include some manual handling task

Purpose of the Job As part of the Living Options Services, the Team Leader will be a part of the management team and will support the Registered Manager to meet the Residential Care Homes Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2005 and DHSSPS Residential Care Homes Minimum Standards, August 2011. They will: Support the Registered Manager to develop and implement personalised care/support plans and individual risk assessments to meet individual needs. Support the Registered Manager to ensure the delivery of quality care and support. Support with the management budgets and resources. The Team Leader will mentor and supervise the Support Team. Team Leaders must be available to work flexibly and be available to work unsociable hours and public holidays on a rotational basis. A minimum of RQF Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in a health & social care or related discipline AND at least 2 years' experience in a social care setting providing support/care.

    A minimum of GCSE English & Maths (A - C) or equivalent AND at least 3 years' experience in a regulated care or support environment.
