    Role OverviewWe are looking for a passionate and experienced Oral Health Practitioners/Hygienists to join our OHP training team. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing and supporting learners as they work towards their Level 4 Oral Health Practitioner qualification. You will use your specialist knowledge and experience to provide quality teaching and conduct in person skills labs.
    Salary: Up to 36,500 (pro-rata) depending on CAVA qualifications Role: 4 days per week Location: Southwest - remote based but must be able to commute to Crewkerne, Somerset
    You will play a key role in guiding and mentoring learners, ensuring they meet the required standards and are fully prepared to enter the workforce.
    Key Responsibilities. Assess learners' work against awarding body standards, providing constructive feedback and guidance.. Conduct regular reviews and assessments both within our regional practical skills hubs and via remote methods. Support learners in creating and maintaining a portfolio of evidence for their qualification.. Deliver training sessions and workshops to help learners develop their knowledge and skills.. Monitor and report on learner progress, identifying areas where additional support may be required.. Maintain accurate records of assessments and learner achievements.. Liaise with employers and other stakeholders to ensure learners receive comprehensive support throughout their training.. Stay current with best practices in oral health education and assessment methods.
    Requirements. Qualification as an Oral Health Practitioner or Dental Hygienist,. Willingness to work towards obtaining Assessor qualification (CAVA). Significant experience in a clinical environment as an oral health practitioner.. Strong understanding of the qualification requirements and assessment processes.. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.. Ability to motivate and inspire learners to achieve their goals.. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.. Commitment to ongoing professional development.

    Position: Dental Workplace Assessor - Part time (min 3 days per week)Location: Preston/Lancashire Salary: £27,000-£28,000 pro rata
    This role is ideal for a qualified dental nurse with industry experience who enjoys mentoring others and wants to move into education and assessment.
    As a Workplace Assessor, you will support and assess learners completing the Diploma in Dental Nursing, visiting them in their dental practices to observe and assess their skills in real clinical environments.You'll work closely with learners, employers and the Tempdent team to ensure apprentices progress successfully and are fully prepared for their End Point Assessment (EPA).
    Key responsibilities Schedule and carry out workplace assessments for Dental Nursing learners within required timelinesCommunicate effectively with practice managers and learners when arranging assessment visitsEnsure all relevant clinical treatments are booked and ready for observationProvide constructive and supportive feedback to learners and employersManage your own assessment diary to maximise assessment opportunitiesMaintain accurate and timely completion of assessment documentationSupport a caseload of learners and prepare them for End Point Assessment (EPA)Conduct Health & Safety and Equal Opportunities checks within dental practicesFacilitate communication between learners, employers and TempdentAttend team meetings, handovers and standardisation sessionsWork towards agreed targets and KPIsMaintain GDC registration and CPD requirementsPromote safeguarding, equality, and best practice across all training environments
    What we are looking for: Qualified GDC registered Dental NurseAssessor qualification (CAVA or TAQA) or willing to acquire Experience working in dental practiceStrong communication and organisational skillsAbility to work independently and manage your own scheduleConfident using office software and digital systems-Ability to motivate and support learnerExperience assessing Dental Nursing qualifications or apprenticeships would be beneficial Teaching or training qualification (AiET or willing to acquire Knowledge of or experience working in work-based learning or apprenticeships Passionate about developing future dental professionalsConfident to build strong relationships with learners and employersAble to prioritise workload and meet deadlinesConfident to communicate clearly and professionallyMaintains high professional and clinical standards
