The Client: A leading global insurance firm are looking for a 3+ PQE* commercial lawyer to join their legal team. Working autonomously, you will be responsible for a range of legal matters across the business. They have an excellent hybrid policy in place, only requiring office attendance once a fortnight or once a month. Key Responsibilities: Working as part of a small team of lawyers, you will be responsible for the following: Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including supplier agreements, vendor contracts, and customer terms and conditions. Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of insurance specific contracts, including introducer and distribution agreements Assisting with privacy, employment and other matters as they arise Provide assistance with maintaining the legal precedent bank; and assist with providing training to the business on new and ongoing legal and compliance issues Provide support to the business on the onboarding of new clients Working in multidisciplinary teams across various departments, including product development, marketing, and human resources, ensuring that all business activities comply with applicable laws and regulations. Qualifications: The ideal candidate will be a 3+ PQE* Commercial lawyer, preferably with experience in a law firm, financial services or insurance firm. Experience in the insurance will be plus but not a strict requirement Excellent contract negotiation, analytical, and communication skills. Proactive, detail oriented, and able to thrive in a fast paced, innovative environment. Strong problem solving abilities and a collaborative mindset. *Candidates outside this PQE range with the prerequisite experience would be considered for this role.
