We’re looking for a Legal Counsel to join this busy legal team, supporting high-value, strategically important projects across the UK. About the Role As part of the Legal & Company Secretarial team, you’ll provide strategic legal advice and compliance expertise. You’ll work on both contentious (%) and non-contentious (5%) matters, supporting projects across transport and natural resources sectors. Key Responsibilities Draft, review, and advise on construction contracts (NEC focus), JV agreements, consultancy contracts, variations, settlement agreements, and related documents. Manage external legal support where required. Ensure compliance with laws and regulations across the business. Identify and mitigate legal and commercial risks. Drive efficiency through new technologies and processes. What We’re Looking For A qualified junior lawyer. 0-3 years PQE. Demonstrable experience in the construction sector (contentious and/or non-contentious). Strong understanding of the NEC suite of contracts. Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills. Commercially aware with strong business acumen. Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities. Collaborative team player with a high-performance mindset.
