We thrive on innovation and the ability to adapt, and we're looking for a Business Analyst who who has experience in successfully delivering across a range of project types and complexities.As a Business Analyst, you will take an active role in leading or oversee the solution throughout the project lifecycle. The purpose of your role is to work closely with a range of internal and external clients and stakeholders and operate between business and technical departments to ensure that proposed solutions are valid, documented and meet the correct business functionality, requirements and industry standards.   The majority of this role will be working from home, however, there will be an expectation to attend the Cardiff office as and when required (usually a minimum of once a month)More Specifically, your day-to-day responsibilities will include: Providing guidance and support to project team members and working with internal stakeholders to ensure solution build continues to meet requirementsLeading on/participating in all client workshops/presentations to understand internal and external client project goals, configuration requirements, workflows, complex business needs, gaps and opportunitiesProviding and validating cost estimates based on knowledge provided in the Solution Definition DocumentReviewing and monitoring Business Analyst estimates during the project lifecycle, escalating increases where necessaryAssisting the Business Consultants and Project Manager in the construction of the scope and approach to the projectLeading on requirements elicitation process on projects – planning the strategy for investigating and translating functional and non-functional requirements, taking into account the complexities of the project and the constraints involvedValidating, baselining and prioritising requirements through the approval and sign off by the client and accountable executive, challenging assumptions where necessaryProducing Use Cases and Process maps to ensure the overall solution meets business needsEnsuring that there is clear requirements traceability through the lifecycle of the projectManaging the change process through the project lifecycleIdentifying gaps in current products or solutions, and providing such input / feedback to the Product Management team to assist in the production and on-going maintenance of product roadmapsContributing to risk / issue logs, project status documents, scope change documents, mapping specification, test plans and test casesProviding a handover of the project to Business Analysts working on Business As Usual changeLeading on/supporting initiatives for improvements, working with the Lead and / or Senior Business Analyst to establish, implement and continually improve processesYou’ll be supported by an experienced team within the Project Delivery department, giving you the opportunity to learn and grow in a collaborative environment.This is a rewarding opportunity for someone looking for the next step in their Business Analysis experience, with access to meaningful development and a strong foundation of versatile skills.RequirementsWhat we're Looking For!You're someone who:Is thorough, takes initiative and effectively manages their own workload against deadlinesIs an effective communicator and an enthusiastic team playerIs influential, with excellent stakeholder management skillsIs a keen problem solver, someone who thinks outside the box You'll have the following experience:Proven Business Analysis experienceDemonstrated proficiency using Microsoft OfficeExperience of process mapping and Use caseBeen educated to degree level with demonstrable experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified (desirable)BCS Business Analysis (desirable)The following experience would be desirable, but not essential for the role:Financial Services Experience Experience in project management principles, practices, techniques and toolsExperience of the mortgage / 2nd charge / unsecured lending marketsExperience of the Investments markets, on particular ISA’s, Direct Deposit and Structured InvestmentsVaried experience of Project Methodologies – Waterfall & AgileBenefitsCore Benefits:Up to £41,000 per anum, depending on experience30 days holiday PLUS bank holidays (That's right! 30 days from Day 1) Defined Pension Contribution Scheme (Employer matched up to 6%)Employee Discount Scheme, access to discounts and offers across 100s of leading retailers.  Company Paid Private Medical Insurance (benefit in kind)Group Life Assurance Group Income ProtectionAnnual Pay Review Discretionary Annual Bonus SchemeHelp@Hand – Confidential access to health and wellbeing support to include Employee Assistance Program Free Flu Vaccinations, Eye Tests and employer contribution towards glassesRecognition SchemeFree Mortgage Advice and Support My Flex, our flexible benefits scheme gives colleagues access to additional benefits to supplement their core package. We thrive on innovation and the ability to adapt, and we're looking for an RPG Senior Software Engineer to join us.The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for the interpretation of system requirements into designs and the engineering and implementation of solutions. They also play a key role in investigating system issues and defects and providing solutions to the users reported issues. The Senior Engineer will be hands on in Software Development activities however they will also spend a great deal of their time analysing requirements and problems to provide designs and solutions to our offshore Software Engineers to complete the coding activities.  They are also our gatekeepers of quality.  They will review and approve the code artefacts prior to release to testing. We provide remote working options so are open to applications from across the UK. However, there will be an expectation to attend the Cardiff office when required. Day-to-Day responsibilities include:Building solutions, creating features and deliverables according to user stories or technical designs. Create and amend programs in accordance with the design.Provide support for existing systems, carrying out investigative work and performing software changes to resolve issues.Plan, design and conduct tests of programs; correct errors and re-test to achieve an error free result.Execute and document all work in accordance with agreed standards.Take part in continual improvement discussions to consider better ways of achieving solutions or conducting processes.Support change brought about through Software Engineering activities, showing understanding, imagination and creativity. Estimate and plan work and advise manager of progress against activities and highlight issues.Responsible for the timely and accurate completion of activity diaries.
