Responsible for the development of Safety Management Plans and Safety Case Reports in accordance with MoD Military Standard (Def-Stan 00-056) or equivalent. Responsible for keeping up to date with the latest safety practices in industry and the MoD. Ensuring company awareness is appropriate for what we do. Utilising the recognised safety methods, technology and tools you will explore all aspects of Safety management through the design lifecycle including hazard identification, hazard and risk analysis, risk control and mitigation, and the development of ALARP statements. Development, management and presentation of safety cases for SEA products. Liaise with internal and external customers on a on factors within the design ad work closely with Engineers from System, Electronic, Software and Mechanical Engineering. The skills you need
You will have proven experience working Safety Management , ideally within an MoD background or experience of working within the MoD domain. Be able to produce clear and concise technical safety documentation. Preferably have experience in working with UK MoD ASEMS processes and procedures for their safety systems and projects and familiarity with Def Stan 00-056 Safety Management. SSMO Qualified or similar training would be a bonus. This work will involve sensitive information so you must be able to obtain
security clearance

What youll be doing
Key stakeholder in the rollout of ARAS Innovator PLM & data input into ERP. Establish & Manage the Configuration Management Team Establish & manage CM best practice using ARAS PLM & CM2 process. Provide a Configuration Management service to the business to support ISO 9001 / 10007 Def Stan 05-57 & other applicable CM standards. Overall responsibility for the release of documentation, BoM, Part & change data in PLM & its transition to ERP to meet business commitments to agreed SLAs. Manage the Deviation & Concession process & incorporation into change where required to agreed SLAs. Provide guidance & where required conduct Functional & Physical Configuration Audits to ensure products adhere to their released requirements. Write Project / Product specific Configuration Management Plans upon request. Provide expert CM guidance support & where needed training on PLM, Change & Configuration best practice. Collect & publish a full set of CM metrics Support Continuous Improvement process development.
The skills you need
Degree, HND or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline Proven experience within Configuration Management ideally within the defence sector Experience of ARAS innovator PLM is desirable or other equivalent PLM system; (training can be provided) Proven ability to manage a team Proven ability to communicate at all levels Comprehensive understanding of the electronic manufacturing product lifecycle Good understanding of ERP systems Methodical approach to your work with attention to detail CM2 accreditation (training can be provided) Computer literate & competent in the use of the Microsoft toolset.
