Your next role The Quality Assurance and Review Team plays a pivotal role in supporting Quality Assurance Reviewing Officers (QARO’s) who chair Child We Care For Reviews, alongside Chairs who do Child Protection Conferences. The Team is therefore responsible for a range of confidential and sensitive information about Children We Care For and Child Protection. We put the child at the center of everything that we do, and we need you to join us in doing this. This role is based within the Quality Assurance and Review Team in Children’s Services, the primary role of this post is to take minutes for a variety of meetings but the key focus of this role will be note taking for Child Protection Conferences. You will attend and observe meetings between parents, children, and many other professionals, including police and social workers. You will accurately record and take detailed notes of meetings, including the key actions. In Child Protection Conferences you will type ‘live’ into the plan which is produced in the meeting. You will be highly-organised and comfortable meeting deadlines and managing your workload around scheduled meetings. Due to the sensitive nature of the meetings, you will need to meet data protection and confidentiality procedures as well as be able to process information of a potentially distressing nature. This is a wonderfully challenging and rewarding role, working as part of a busy team making a positive difference to children’s lives. Your commitment will be rewarded with full training and development as part of your fixed term contract. Skills, Knowledge and Experience required for the role: Excellent minute taking or audio typing, with the ability to type straight on to a laptop. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Emotionally resilient, able to process information of a potentially distressing nature. Ability to concentrate for long periods, despite distractions and disruptions. As part of our Children’s Commissioning Team, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality financial services that underpin services for children and young people, and Swindon Families. Your next role As a Senior Finance Assistant, you’ll help ensure the effective delivery of accurate, timely and high quality financial support across the Children’s Commissioning team. Working as part of the team, you will: Process journals, recharges, and grants to support effective budgetary control. Complete and provide cover for daily and monthly payment runs, ensuring accuracy and issue resolution. Your next role A new permanent position has become available for an experienced CCTV Control Room Operator and Security Officer role within Swindon Borough Council. The CCTV Control Room is a very important part of our business. The officers who manage the Control Room are all experienced and reliable individuals and we are looking for the perfect candidates to join and flourish in this exciting role. The role involves managing and coordinating the Security Officers on duty, Mobile Patrol Officers and be a focal point of the company in regards to dealing with customers, clients and the general public. The ideal candidate must be someone who is organised, calm and proactive along with being able to follow policies, instructions and guidelines in order to ensure all tasks are actioned appropriately. We do seek someone who is keen to bring their own ideas, solutions and creative freedom in order to improve and assist in the role. The Security Officer role will include working on various sites in and around the Swindon area. Both the Control Room and Security Officer duties will be based on a monthly roster in advance and you will also be require to be flexible to assist with holiday and sickness cover. The role will include primarily working nights day shifts and weekends but will also include other duties that will be issued and rostered accordingly. The main duties include but are not limited to: Camera monitoring and detection of issues/incidents. Controlling access and egress. Liaising with clients and customers as well as other authorities including the Police and Fire Brigade. Monitoring Security Officers welfare via computer programme systems. Supplying information and assistance for all of our Officers on sites. Downloading reports and data. Responding to alarms and disturbances. Logging information. Completing all paperwork accurately. Working alongside managers to ensure issues are dealt with professionally. Accurately reporting and relaying important information to clients and management. We operate a 12-hour shift pattern covering days, nights and weekends. The candidate must be familiar with the operation of CCTV Systems as well as the use of other Computer systems. The candidate must also have experience in dealing with emergency situations and adopt a calm and proactive nature in dealing with issues. Your next role We are looking for an enthusiastic Team Leader that can support and a small team of Cleaning and Decontamination staff, who are responsible for the correct and effective reprocessing of all returned community equipment in line with Decontamination Policy, Integrated Community Equipment Stores (ICES) Local Operating Procedure and Care Quality Commission (CQC) outcomes. In this role, you will be allocating work, carry out spot checks and audits of equipment ensuring Quality Control (QC) standards are met, using Local Operating Procedure and that CQC compliance is achieved. You will provide regular feedback to Swindon Community Equipment Stores (SCES) Operations Manager on targets and issues and ensure that all procedures relating to the Cleaning and Decontamination department are understood and followed, including ensuring training needs are identified and provided and that the departments targets are met. In addition, you will be dismantling of community equipment for pre-cleaning inspection to ensure safety and economic viability before re-issue to service users. Ensuring clear separation and storage of dirty and clean storage areas/items, including housekeeping of all areas and that accurate records are maintained. General duties will include, working alongside your team, cleaning of warehouse facilities and delivering or collecting equipment to our service users, where you must remain supportive when dealing with sensitive and difficult situations. You must have the ability to demonstrate an understanding, have empathy, whilst maintaining confidentiality and Data Protection policies at all times.
