About the roleWithin the Bus Strategy & Delivery department, focused on delivering and improving Public Transport provision in the west of Scotland, we have a great opportunity to join our Schools Agency Services & Compliance Team.Working collaboratively across SPT, to support the aims set out in the Regional Transport Strategy, we are looking for the best talent to deliver on our ambitions. The Schools Agency Services Admin Officer will provide administrative assistance to the Schools Agency Services & Compliance Manager and the Schools Agency Services Team Leader. The Schools Agency Services Admin Officer will participate in the monitoring and administration of transport contracts within the Bus Strategy & Delivery Department ensuring that the work is carried out in accordance with recognised procedures and guidelines.About youYou will have experience of working with stakeholders and operators in a passenger transport environment to deliver value added services. You will have knowledge of school transport and robust service provision. Awareness of current public transport policy objectives and the legislative framework within which SPT operates. You will have experience of using modern technology. Experience of preparation of contract tender specifications and management of contract activities are desirable. You will have good interpersonal, communication and organisational skills. You must also have the ability to work under pressure and manage conflicting priorities within strict time constraints. Full time hours will be 35 hours per week working Monday to Friday. However, you may be required to undertake work outwith this norm to meet the responsibilities of the post.Whilst you will be based at 131 St Vincent Street, Glasgow, SPT operate a temporary hybrid working pattern which allows 40% home working, i.e. 2 days per week Monday to Friday.
