This role works a 4 on / 4 off rotating shift pattern covering both days and nights.This is a hands on position suited to an experienced engineer who is comfortable working across both mechanical and electrical systems and enjoys working in a busy production setting. The RoleAs part of the Engineering team, you will be responsible for carrying out routine and preventative maintenance across the site, ensuring equipment reliability and minimising downtime. You will also respond to breakdowns, diagnose faults, and carry out repairs efficiently to keep production running smoothly.You will play an active role in supporting the site’s Health, Safety and Environmental standards and will assist with risk assessments and PUWER compliance. The role also involves delivering the site’s PPM schedule.     This company is part of a global organisation who manufacture food products into major retailers such as Subway, McDonalds, Tesco and many more major companies within the industry.

    As a business we have annual turnover well in excess of £15m and have reinvested this into our state of the art facility in Burton. Over the last 5 years we have invested over £60m into our plant and boast an incredibly low staff turnover rate within our maintenance team as a result.

    We are looking to fill this vacancy as a result of expansion as we transition into a different dedicated nights or days based shift pattern, as the successful engineer you’ll be part of a small team of 10 dedicated day shift engineers with plan to expand further in the near future.

    Roles and Responsibilities
     Planned and reactive maintenance across a wide variety of plant machinery including multivacs, conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, sensors, relays, inverters, drives, fillers, slicers and much more – Near enough anything that you can expect to find within a food manufacturing facility! Involvement in continuous improvements and projects across the site. Adhering to health and safety regulations across site whilst ensuring OEE is maximised.
    The Successful Engineer
     Multi Skilled with either a mechanical or electrical bias are encouraged to apply – Close to 50:50 as possible is idealMinimum of 5 years experience as a multi skilled maintenance engineer within an industrial environmentFood experience is beneficial but not a deal breaker, he have engineers from all backgrounds in our teamIdeally qualified to a minimum of L3 within a maintenance discipline (NVQ/City and Guilds, HNC/D)
