HR Operations Specialist – Glasgow – Up to £33.5k basic A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an HR Operations Specialist to support the HR team in delivering efficient HR operations across the UK and EU. This role is ideal for someone with strong HR experience in employee life cycle management, compliance, and payroll coordination. Based 100% on-site in Glasgow, you will play a key role in ensuring HR processes are compliant, effective, and aligned with business needs. Benefits:

Role:
Manage end-to-end employee lifecycle activities including onboarding, offboarding, promotions, relocations, and contractual changes across UK and EU regionsPrepare employment contracts, conduct right-to-work checks, and oversee pre-employment screeningAct as first point of contact for employee queries relating to contracts, policies, absence, and payrollSupport payroll by ensuring timely and accurate communication of employee changesMaintain HRIS records, produce HR reports, and support internal auditsIdentify opportunities for process improvements within HR operations
Skills Required:
Experience in an HR operations or HR specialist role covering UK and EU regionsStrong understanding of UK and EU employment law, compliance standards, and GDPRExperience working with payroll processes and payroll providersProficiency in HR systems (Workday, BambooHR, IRIS, SAP, or similar) and Microsoft OfficeExcellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skillsAbility to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism
Experience & Qualifications:
CIPD Level 3 or 5 (completed or currently studying)Previous experience supporting HR activity across multiple EU countries (e.g. Netherlands, Germany, Belgium)Experience with HR audits or internal policy reviewsStrong Excel skills for HR reporting and analysisBackground in recruitment, staffing, or professional services is desirable
