As a Junior Sales Executive you take the lead in the entire sales process of Stats Perform media services (i.e., sports data, widgets, news, etc.). This is a proactive role in which you are the main contact for the client accounts under your care, making sure our clients reach the goals they want to achieve with our products. These clients can be broadcasters, publishers, professional (football) clubs, leagues, etc. The processes of contract renewal, contract upgrades and finding new business are your responsibility. You will be responsible for… Learn everything there is to know about the relevant Stats Perform products to be able to confidently advise clients and prospects Take charge of the entire sales process from finding new leads and building a pipeline to eventually contracting agreed services Building (or expanding) your network in the sports (media) industry. Help create sales plans and market analyses for specific target markets and ‘go-to-market’ plans for new products Keep track of and report on progress within the sales pipeline, being able to accurately forecast expected results. What we need from you Stats Perform objective is to develop and maintain a loyal and extensive client base within the target markets, ensuring the long-term development of the company. To help achieve this objective a Junior Sales Executive will require excellent organizational, time management, communication, and sales skills, in addition to an extensive and up-to-date understanding of all Stats Perform media products and services. Customers who trust our data, video, and AI solutions include major tech companies, global media and news outlets, sportsbooks and betting operators, and teams and leagues across a variety of sports. What You’ll Do: Work in a fast-past environment at the forefront of the sports data, betting, and tech sectors. Draft and negotiate a broad remit of commercial contracts, including  - rights acquisition agreements, content supply agreements and technology agreements. Provide legal support for business stakeholders on a range of matters relating to strategic rights partnerships and the broader global media rights strategy. Work closely with other members of the Stats Perform legal team across various specialisms to assist in wider Stats Perform projects (e.g. data protection, employment, technology, new markets, IP). Maintain an up-to-date understanding of Stats Perform products and services and provide legal support to the launching of new products.  Act as a ‘go-to’ legal advisor in relation to certain workstreams. Give accurate and timely counsel to key stakeholders and executives across the business on variety of legal topics.  Research and evaluate different risk factors regarding business decisions and operations. **Note: This is a Fixed Term Contractor role for 1 year** What You’ll Need: Be an English Qualified (or equivalent) solicitor 4-6 years PQE with private practice experience in a relevant field or in-house experience in a relevant sector. Have relevant experience of drafting and negotiating applicable commercial contracts. Have excellent technical legal skills, especially first-class drafting and interpretative abilities. Ability to work on matters with autonomy, juggle a complex workload and prioritize appropriately, with understanding of when to escalate an issue. Be a highly motivated self-starter, looking to take ownership and apply business acumen. Be comfortable exercising sound judgment and making recommendations quickly.     Key Responsibilities: Work closely with the SVP Rights to define and execute a global sports rights strategy that aligns with broader business objectives. Lead end-to-end negotiations with top-tier sports rights holders across leagues, federations, and agencies. Own the lifecycle of rights partnerships: from pitch to contract, onboarding, and long-term relationship growth. Identify and pursue new market opportunities, assessing commercial models and long-term ROI. Collaborate with sales, product, and finance to build rights packages that drive revenue and deliver commercial value. Represent Stats Perform at industry events and build thought leadership within the sports and sports data ecosystem. Deliver market intelligence, competitor benchmarking, and strategic insights to the wider business. Mentor and support more junior members of the rights team as needed. Desired Qualifications: 7+ years of experience in sports rights, media, betting, or related commercial environments. Deep expertise in the global sports ecosystem and strong existing relationships across key stakeholders. Proven ability to close high-value commercial partnerships and manage complex negotiations. Strong commercial and financial acumen, including experience evaluating ROI and long-term value. Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. Confident, strategic thinker who thrives in a fast-moving, global environment. Passionate about the power of sport and sports data to drive value across betting, media, and fan engagement.
