    About the role:Location: London Based Hybrid  We are looking for a creative, organised, and proactive Internal Communications & Events Executive. As an Internal Communications & Events Executive, you will deliver news, key updates and important moments to a network of around 8,000 colleagues. You will foster a sense of belonging and purpose by ensuring colleagues are kept up to date with everything they need to know, spanning business performance, employee benefits and charity activities through to policy updates, trainings and operational essentials. You will also take a leading role in organising internal events such as our quarterly UK&I Town Halls, Senior Leadership Team meetings, and annual UK&I Conference. Growing with this newly created role, you’ll work with stakeholders from every corner of SSP to ensure every colleague in the business is provided with the information, tools and experience that makes SSP the best part of their career journey. What you’ll do:  Support the delivery of the UK&I communications strategy with a focus on internal comms Draft internal communications content and campaigns to drive engagement and excitement across the business on key priorities Be a point of contact for all internal communications within our UK&I business, providing advice and guidance while being an expert on our key comms platforms including Microsoft Teams, Viva Engage and SharePoint Lead the organisation and delivery of internal and external events (virtual and in-person), including stakeholder engagement and management, run-of-show and presentation materials, pre- and post-event communications, and problem solving Collaborate with the wider People team on cultural and value-driven initiatives such as our colleague networks, charity partnerships and colleague engagement surveys Support with communications for our UK&I Executive Team internally and externally Assist in maintaining a calendar of internal and external comms activity, helping the team stay organised and deliver on deadlines Create digital and physical assets to support the delivery of communications and events such as photo and video Contribute to team success in all areas of communications by supporting campaigns, activities and reporting as required Taking responsibility for personal development and demonstrating our values in action

    What you’ll need:  At least one year’s experience or a degree in communications, events, journalism or a related field Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ensuring all communications are clear and easy to understand Strong attention to detail and accuracy Able to communicate confidently and effectively with internal and external stakeholders at varying levels of seniority Excellent time management and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and outputs delivered on time A positive attitude, bringing energy, enthusiasm, and a “can-do” approach to every activity and stakeholder interaction A willingness to learn, ownership of personal development, eager to gain new skills, and keen to improve continuously in a fast-paced environment Be a team player, collaborating effectively with colleagues, generating strong working relationships with every stakeholder, and supporting others where needed to create a positive, cooperative workplace culture Be adaptable – this is a new role in a dynamic environment, so being able to handle changing priorities, busy periods, and unexpected challenges with flexibility and composure Self-motivating with the ability to work unsupervised
