You will: - Developing scoping documentation and Protection Diagrams (MC&P). - Carrying out EHV protection testing in conjunction with the maintenance teams. - To act as a lead for support when requested to assist with the maintenance units delivery. - Carrying out adhoc projects in line with our RIIO-ED2 delivery. - Using SAP authorisations to support wider teams across Distribution / CMI department. You have: - HNC qualification (or equivalent), or currently working towards it. - Ideally a 33kV SAP working towards 132kV SAP authorisations, with salary progression for specific 132kV authorisations. - Experience in the design or commissioning of power system protection, ideally within distribution networks. - Strong knowledge of protection relays and panels, CT/VT sizing, protection grading studies, and producing accurate AC/DC drawings. - Familiarity with OMICRON test sets and software, plus SSEN Protection Level 3 & 4 authorisations and progression toward Level 5. This role involves travel across various locations to support business needs. To enable you to fulfil these responsibilities, as a role requirement, the company will provide access to a vehicle for work-related travel. The requirement will be reviewed on an ongoing basis, and if the company car policy criteria are met, there will be an opportunity to join the company car scheme.
