Overview
We are seeking a professional and reliable HGV class 1 driver for a day role in Portsmouth, nights out in truck Monday, Wednesday and Friday week 1 then Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday week 2.
Responsibilities
Carry out Class 1 (C+E) deliveries and collections to various sites nationwide.
Complete all pre-use vehicle checks and maintain accurate records.
Ensure loads are secured and transported safely in line with company and legal requirements.
Communicate effectively with transport planners and customers.
Stay out overnight as required (nights out paid) within 48 hours once perm.
Comply with tachograph and Working Time Directive regulations.
Maintain a professional attitude and provide excellent customer service at all times.
Experience
Valid Class 1 (C+E) license
Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card .
Minimum 6-12 months Class 1 driving experience preferred.
Ability to stay out overnight as part of the working pattern.
Strong understanding of road safety and transport regulations.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
Experience working with curtain side trailers.
