    The Springfield Group are recruiting a Sawyer/Labourer to join our busy timber kit team in a manufacturing environment outside Elgin. About the Role The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety in timber frame. As a key member of the team, the Sawyer/Labourer is responsible for operating a saw to cut and shape wood pieces. This position requires skilful operation of the saw, attention to detail, and knowledge of woodworking techniques. The Sawyer/Labourer must be able to read and understand technical drawings. Duties include setting up the sawing machine, adjusting the settings to ensure a precise cut, selecting the proper saw blade, loading and unloading the machine, and inspecting each piece for quality control. The Labourer/Sawyer will also occasionally operate the factory forklift, maintain a safe and clean work environment, follow all safety procedures, and be able to work independently. If you are detail-oriented, and thrive in a hands-on environment, this is an exciting opportunity for you to advance your career in wood working.
