The Role We’re looking for engaging, inspiring individuals to join our award-winning team as Operations Assistants. In this role, you shall provide support at the venues to ensure our customers receive a first-class; clean, warm and safe experience for the entirety of every visit.

    You’ll bring energy and personality to every shift, while maintaining the highest hygiene, safety and customer service standards ensuring every swimmer and parent enjoys a first-class experience. What You’ll Do Provide outstanding customer care, welcoming families, engaging with parents, and ensuring every swimmer feels supported. Maintain the highest standard of hygiene and cleanliness at site to ensure a safe, clean and warm operating environment. Communicate confidently with existing and new customers, always delivering on-site resolutions to their queries and needs Be a pioneer for the brand with a clear passion for its aims and values Support all attendees at site with efficient and effective first aid response in appropriate situations Provide poolside supervisory duties during the operating of lessons Work collaboratively with fellow team members to maintain our high standards. Role Purpose The People Coordinator provides essential administrative support across the employee lifecycle, ensuring smooth, accurate and compliant processes from recruitment through to offboarding. This role is key to maintaining high-quality employee data, timely onboarding, and consistent people operations that support the wider organisation. Key Responsibilities Recruitment Administration Activate recruitment adverts on appropriate job boards and channels in line with business monthly rhythm, new openings and as requested. Conduct initial candidate screening calls following agreed criteria. Coordinate interview scheduling and communicate with candidates at each stage. Maintain accurate applicant tracking records. Review application and recruitment activity insight to inform continued improvement for future business need. Pre-Employment Compliance & Onboarding Conduct Right to Work (RTW) checks in line with UK Home Office guidance. Process DBS/PVG checks and train managers in systems to ensure maintenance of renewal records. Implement the business onboarding process for new starters including issue and validation of onboarding documentation digitally through the applicant tracking systems and migrate into people systems on successful completion. Payroll Administration Prepare and process monthly payroll changes, such as new starters, leavers, pay adjustments, absences and allowances using the business digital payroll systems. Ensure payroll data is accurate, complete and submitted within required deadlines. Respond to payroll-related employee queries. Work closely with finance to ensure accurate payments, mitigation of errors and timely completion. Training Administration Process course registrations for the Learning and Development Team. Manage the digital administration of course bookings including issue of welcome and confirmation emails and eLearning access. Claim certificates and upload them to employee training records. Support the Learning and Development team with Approved Training Centre (ATC) policy updates and governance administration. Offboarding Process resignations and issue leaver documentation. Remove system access and notify relevant departments. Coordinate return of equipment/kit and final pay details. General HR Support Support regular audits of HR records and compliance documentation. Produce basic HR reports (e.g., starters/leavers, training, compliance checks). Support the Regional Managers with any day-to-day employee enquiries in a professional and timely manner. Support People projects and continuous improvement of HR processes. Assist with People templates, policy updates and documentation when required. Skills & Experience Experience in HR or administrative roles. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Confident using human resources, recruitment and payroll systems. Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism. Experience in payroll administration would be very beneficial,  Knowledge of people compliance requirements.     The Role As an Assistant General Manager at swim!, you’ll be part of the management team at your venue to deliver an exceptional customer experience every day. You’ll support the operations, safety, and performance ensuring the centre runs smoothly, looks its best, and meets the highest standards of teaching, maintenance, and service.

    You’ll also play a key role in growing your local swim! community, connecting with families, schools, and local organisations.
