    DescriptionWe are currently looking for an IT Helpdesk Officer to join on a full time permanent contract.

    As an IT Helpdesk Officer, you will join an essential team that provides support to the Southbank Centre IT Users covering all areas of IT. We are currently embarking on a programme of upgrades that will provide opportunities to be involved in the implementation and ongoing support.

    Key Responsibilities Log and respond to incidents and requests from IT service users efficiently and in a timely manner. 

    Keep IT service users informed of the progress of their call and on resolution, confirm resolution with the user, and if they agree, close the incident. 

    Escalate calls to the appropriate team member as appropriate. 

    Be the first point of contact for laptops, printers, telephones, and mobile devices and, where appropriate, liaise with contracted third parties to ensure the successful resolution of any reported requests or incidents.
    Skills & Experience Good analytical and troubleshooting skills.

    Experience working in an IT Helpdesk environment delivering excellent customer service. 

    Good IT skills, including knowledge of current desktop operating systems and Microsoft / Google productivity tools. 

    Experience in troubleshooting desktop, laptop, MAC, and printer issues. 

    Flexible and helpful attitude. In particular, the ability to empathise with IT Helpdesk customers and respond sensitively to their problems, requests, and complaints.

    The core focus of the role is to provide support for our infrastructure and end-user compute environment, including, but not limited to Virtualisation, Storage, Backups, End User Compute devices.

    Key Responsibilities Proactively manage and monitor IT environment to provide resilient, business aligned IT services. 

    Identify and remediate service issues, escalating to the relevant parties required.

    Administer, document, and monitor IT environment to ensure it is highly secure, and compliant, documenting procedures and sharing knowledge to ensure other team members are equipped to assist or cover absences. 

    Work alongside the IT Management team to identify, mitigate, and control risks, governance, and compliance requirements related to the IT infrastructure, and specify, implement, and manage IT infrastructure standards and operating procedures.
    Skills & Experience  Good analytical and troubleshooting skills including awareness of Cybersecurity best practices. 

    Able to demonstrate effective organisational skills with the ability to work calmly under pressure, multitask and prioritise. 

    Able to work both independently and as part of a team. 

    Able to demonstrate flexibility and creative problem-solving skills. 

    Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing, including the ability to explain technical information clearly.
