    We are seeking an EU Category Head for Camera Lenses and Accessories, joining our Pan-European Product Marketing team. You should be someone with a deep understanding of cameras & lenses, and how to drive business using our leading market position to ensure growth across your categories. Once you have established yourself within the company and developed an understanding of our ways of working, we want your unique perspective, innovative ideas, and creative expertise to find new angles and ways to improve sales, profit and ultimately growth. You should have experience working with internal commercial teams, forecasting, presenting and justifying analysis and proposals to leadership, and working with country-teams to drive alignment and agendas.     Role Overview:An exciting opportunity has arisen for someone to join our Product Group team. The successful candidate will co-ordinate the introduction and ongoing support of electronic products produced at one of the UK’s best factories, Sony UK Technology Centre Limited. As an Engineer, you will gain a deep understanding of both product operation, and the processes required to produce it. This will include carrying out detailed technical investigations when necessary, coordinating and motivating the team to constantly improve. You will need to gain “hands on” experience as well as research, in order to ensure you can provide the technical support which this role demands. Key Responsibilities: Quality driven – ability and will to identify problems and investigate to route cause and countermeasure. Project and schedule management Drive successful introductions of your allocated products. Perform technical product evaluations, assessments & provide written reports of your findings. Liaise with customers to guide and influence their product design to take from prototype to mass production. Communicate with our customers to provide the confidence, information and solutions they require. Perform analytical analysis of test data & production processes (SPC, six sigma etc…) Guide, inform and motivate the production & technical teams. Inspire interest and share knowledge through the delivery of technical training lectures. Create new manufacturing strategies along with the rest of the team and provide input to New Products (Design For Manufacture). Ability to fault find to component level to solve internal and market defects. Network and build relationships with external design houses. Essential Criteria: HND in an engineering discipline, preferably electronics. A good knowledge and genuine interest of electronics and engineering systems as well as technology in general Desire and ability to research and understand new technologies. A motivating leader & natural team player Desirable Criteria: Knowledge of electronics manufacturing and assembly processes an advantage. Familiar with problem solving and decision analysis tools. Experience in co-ordinating fast turnaround manufacture of PWBs. Knowledge of product design methodology. Appreciation of CAD to input to the development of jigs and tools to aid investigations and trial activity.
