You will be using manual & digital micrometers, verniers etc measuring to micron tolerances for aerospace components. You will also be operating CMM machines, you don’t need to be able to programme them just some experience operating them. To be considered – you MUST have experience as a quality inspector within a precision engineering environment working to micron tolerances, this is essential. Without this experience you will not be considered. What will you be doing? You will be responsible for the day to day running of the shop floor (operations, workflow etc), leading the team of millers & turners, hoping on a machine for urgent jobs and attending production meetings. You will also need to be flexible enough to oversee the night shift from time to time.
