Senior Events Liaison Officer
The Senior UKSR Events Liaison Officer will be based 0.5 in the Events team, and 0.5 in UKSR. The role will share Undergraduate and Postgraduate open day planning with the current Senior Events Officer and will specifically act as a liaison point between the Events team and the University’s Academic Schools, ensuring that academic led open day activity remains engaging, suitable, and representative of the changing needs of applicants. The role will also serve as a single point of contact for UKSR/ Academic Schools activity, facilitating at least 12 ‘flagship’ UKSR on-campus events throughout the academic year for both prospects and applicants. The role will act as a ‘lead champion’ for UKSR activity within the context of academic activity, ensuring that all academic led UKSR activity is maximised from a data capture perspective, and recorded within CRM. In this dynamic post, you’ll co-lead the planning and delivery of Undergraduate and Postgraduate Open Days, coordinate at least 12 flagship on-campus recruitment events each year, and act as the key liaison ensuring Academic School–led activity is engaging, effective and data-driven. You’ll also work with regional recruitment teams, colleagues in Academic Schools and Marketing to support recruitment fairs, subject-focused sessions and conversion initiatives.
We’re looking for someone with:
• Strong experience in education and events management
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and presentation skills
• Confidence using data, CRM systems and evaluation methods
• A proactive, organised, and creative approach
• Knowledge of post-16 and higher education pathways, including UCAS
This role requires regular on-campus presence, some evening/weekend work and occasional UK travel. A full driving licence is essential.
