This is a hands-on manufacturing and operations role, ideal for someone with a strong chemistry background who enjoys pace, responsibility, and being close to the action.

🛠 The role
You’ll join the Operations team, working closely with the Head of Manufacturing and external manufacturing partners to ensure products are made to specification, on time, and at scale.
📦 Key responsibilities
Coordinate manufacturing activity with Contract Manufacturing Organisations (CMOs)Book production slots and manage purchase ordersMonitor production schedules and finished goods deliveryManage raw material and packaging availabilityOversee quality checks and ensure products meet specificationsMaintain batch records and manufacturing documentation using ERP systemsAct as the day-to-day contact for CMOs, resolving issues quicklyDrive continuous improvement across cost, quality, and efficiencySupport R&D with new product introductions and technical requirementsWork with design and commercial teams on packaging, demand, and forecasting
🧠 Skills & experience
Essential
Degree in Chemistry or closely related discipline5–10 years’ experience in manufacturing or operationsBackground in animal health, FMCG, or CPGStrong understanding of quality systemsComfortable in a fast-paced, scaling environmentOrganised, proactive, and confident managing prioritiesMust Have
PhD in Chemistry or similarExperience working with CMOsExposure to GMP or ISO environmentsERP system experience🔥 Personality & mindset
