    We have an opportunity for an experienced Development Delivery Manager based out of our head office in Basingstoke. It's an exciting time to join us to help us deliver our ambitious development programme of 25,000 new homes over the next 10 years. Sovereign Network Group (SNG) provide over 85,000 homes and invest in communities across London and the South of England – our purpose, crystalised within our sector leading Homes and Place Standard, is to provide quality affordable homes and thriving communities over generations.
    The role: This role will lead on projects throughout the delivery phase and represent SNG in all stages of procurement related to delivery in line with SNG stage gates. Implement effective delivery strategies with strong risk management. Supporting the Head of Development Delivery to deliver projects efficiently, to budget, quality and programme with a focus on risk management, health, and safety. This role will manage new homes into the wider business ensuring a smooth transition on sales, lettings and longer-term management and maintenance.
    Accountabilities include: Managing a portfolio of development projects to deliver schemes to time, cost, quality, and customer satisfaction in line with the Development stage gates providing regular updates at Development Review meetings (DRM). Managing contractor selection and appointment and negotiate build agreements including JCTs and development agreements, ensuring SNG is adequately protected. Working with Developers / Contractors, consultants, third party Health and Safety consultants and SNG's Health and Safety team to monitor SNG sites to ensure they are safe places to work and visit. Ensure that areas of concern are flagged to the Head of Development Delivery / Development Delivery Director. Ensuring an understanding of SNG's homes and place standard and ensure schemes meet the objectives of the standard. Leading the multi-disciplinary professional team on each project. Ensure they are briefed in accordance with SNG's procedures and are fully aware of their terms of appointment and expected outputs. Monitor and record consultant performance and manage areas of concern. Providing verbal and written reports to Committees and Boards as required.
    Essential Knowledge and Skills: Relevant professional qualification or equivalent experience. Experience in the housing construction sector. Experience of effectively project managing a diverse portfolio of mixed use and mono tenure development projects simultaneously. We're recruiting for x5 Maintenance Surveyors to join our team in Wembley. You'll work from home, on site and in the office so a full UK drivers license and your own transport is essential. The role Reporting into the Operations Manager, you'll be responsible for the investigation, identification, diagnosis and problem solving of day to maintenance issues raised either internally or by our customers. You'll own the day to day technical support for your locality, allowing our in house trades delivery teams and external contractors to carry works required at first visit. You'll also be responsible for: Carrying out inspections as needed prior to, during and on completion of repairs Providing a specification, including scope of works, quantities and budgeted costs and timescale that will resolve maintenance issues reported Ensuring works are completed safely, to the required standard and specification, in the most effective and efficient manner and to a high level of customer satisfaction Maintaining high quality data within the property systems Ensuring a detailed local knowledge of customer, asset and investment needs across your locality Developing own capability through continual personal and professional development to ensure knowledge is kept up to date What you'll need To be successful in this role you will need: Up to date knowledge and awareness of technical, statutory, regulatory, and legislative requirements, standards, and best practice in relation to delivery of a maintenance service Ability to prepare and interpret specifications schedules of work using bespoke or National/published Schedule's of Rates/Works. Ability to plan, track and forecast safe delivery of customer focused services, works and expenditure within agreed timescales and budgets Ability to operate with commercial acumen Knowledge of relevant health, safety and environmental legislation with focus on compliance within all activities undertaken Proficient use of IT Systems including Microsoft office suite with Intermediate Excel skills There will be some travel involved with this role so you should be happy to travel, have access to a car and a full UK driving licence.     The role As the Staircasing and Resales Consultant , you will lead on the delivery of a professional, effective, and efficient staircasing & resales service to all homeowners, in line with legal, contractual, regulatory requirements and best practice. Responsible for ensuring all staircasing applications/resales are progressed in accordance with the provisions of the lease and shared owners professionally guided through the process. This is a great opportunity to continuously improve and develop staircasing and resales systems and processes, along with other shared ownership transactions.
