    Sales Assistant Smyths Toys About The Role Are you looking for a new challenge and want to be part of an expanding business, filled with fun & exciting opportunities? Come and join our team of superheroes, as we are on the search to recruit our next generation of Sales Assistants, for Smyths Toys Superstores! This is a temporary contract, with a rate of pay of £12.50 per hour for over 21 and £10.25 per hour for under 21. Responsibilities Provide a high level of customer service Ascertain customers’ needs and wants Work as part of a fast paced and dynamic team Keep the store clean and tidy Pack shelves and merchandise  Work delivery and complete price changes Work on the tills Learn about and keep up to date with our products in order to help customers

    The Ideal Candidate Retail experience in the following areas is highly desirable, but not essential: Outdoor/Bikes Nursery Software & Gaming Backdoor/Warehouse Our stores are open 7 days a week so we need our Sales Assistants to be as flexible as possible. Initially, you will be hired on a temporary basis to give you the opportunity to see if you enjoy this fast paced world of retail.

As a Baby Room Assistant, you will be expected to provide a high level of customer service, help your Baby Room team achieve daily targets and ensure that the department is well stocked and well presented at all times. Successful candidates will work as part of a fast-paced and dynamic team. Till training will also be provided, as occasional till work may be required at times.  Baby Room shifts will consist of, Customer service - Dealing with customers face to face helping them to decide on The correct nursery product for them Car seat demonstrations - Correctly assisting with customers needs for specific child. Advising customers with products across the Baby Room Department such as Travel systems and pushchairs, Cot beds and mattresses.
