    We are looking for a class 2 drivers to join our team at our Tewkesbury and Gloucester depots either on a skip lorry or a hook lorry working in and around Gloucestershire.Who are we?Smiths (Gloucester) Ltd is a family run business owned and run by the Smith family since 1982. Smiths has grown from a single owner-operated plant hire company to a multifaceted group with family values still firmly at the heart of each project undertaken. With depots in Avonmouth, Cardiff, Gloucester, Stonehouse and Tewkesbury we operate predominately across the South-West of England.     Responsibilities for the job role: The successful candidate will preferably have previous experience in driving tippers. You will be primarily driving fully and thoroughly maintained Scania tippers, following a one week on-boarding induction with a senior driver. You will be required to drive other vehicles if the need arises. Including but not limited to sweepers & skip lorries. This will only be after full training is provided. The successful candidate will maintain a high standard to cleanliness and safety with any vehicle that is provided. We pay a compliance bonus based on safety and driver compliance.  To complete work that is allocated to you in a productive and timely manner, ensuring the needs and requirements of our clients are met, whilst adhering to Road Transport legislation and fulfilling the Company's obligations. Be technology literate to work on phones and tablets in order to record work. The successful candidate will have a good attitude, be prepared to work hard and be flexible. Candidates must hold a valid DCPC and a current Category C licence, MPQC/EPIC card desirable. The successful candidate must be capable of communicating at all levels and understanding written and verbal instructions. What can we offer you?
