Do you have a thorough understanding on the Claimant claims process and do you have previous litigation experience? If so, then we may have the perfect role for you!We are looking for a Legal Advisor who has excellent attention to detail, can manage and prioritise their own workload and has a track record of providing exceptional customer service!     Ensure efficient file management including adherence to timescales, compliance with precedents, letters or documents on the case management system with appropriate supervision. Progress all files proactively towards settlement in an efficient manner, including management of inactivity, complaints etc.
    Ensure financial aspects of matters including billing, is managed to enable achievement of their KPIs. Sets own goals to achieve their KPIs.
    Secure relevant medical reports and review and value appropriately in accordance with company guidelines, Judicial College Guidelines, Case law etc. as relevant.
    Obtain the clients Schedule of Loss and any evidence required to support a claim
    Prepare cases appropriately for litigation and any hearings, directions etc. and provide post settlement case steps, including the release of files to the enforcement team
    Minimise write offs and case closures due to AWOL client’s and pro-active housekeeping including prompt closure of files, dealing with ledger enquires and processing write offs
    Ensure timely and accurate completion of drafting of legal documents, in particular, court documents, preparing schedules, creating files, proof reading and briefing counsel. Researches and applies an understanding of the law within own Practice Group.


    About You:


    Previous experience of running RTA fast track cases
    Part 8 and MOJ experience 
    A thorough understanding of the litigation processes is essential.
    Ability to assess and review medical reports of various disciplines.
    Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite and relevant practice and business IT/case management systems
    Previous experience (dependant on the seniority of role required) of managing cases within their area of expertise
    Attention to detail
    Excellent time management and organisational skills
    Ability to work under pressure and prioritise work from various stakeholders
    Outstanding communication skills
    Ability to meet monthly financial targets and key performance indicators.

    We are actively recruiting for a talented Lawyer to join our serious injury team in Sheffield.We’re looking for an individual who can demonstrate prior experience and expertise working on claims of the utmost severity, such as brain and spinal injury and amputation cases.This role is ideal for someone who has managed their own caseload, as you will be given the opportunity to do so, along with assisting on high-value claims. Ideally, we would also look at those who have a background in handling high volume casework.We would be looking for an individual who can be involved in the cases from the outset and will continue to be closely involved throughout their duration, giving the opportunity to understand the issues involved to enable you to assist with tasks including instructing appropriate medical experts, dealing with disclosure, proofing witnesses and preparing well-structured witness statements.
