Job Summary Bridge Recovery Housing are looking to recruit a floating support worker to support people with drug or alcohol problems by helping them to maintain their tenancy.

Main Responsibilities • Support service users with creating personalised support plans and helping them build independence and sustain tenancies.
• Coordinate and review support, risk and housing plans, linking service users with health, financial, education, employment and community resources.
• Maintain accurate case records, assess new referrals, advocate on behalf of service users and work with housing providers and partner agencies to secure suitable accommodation.
• Ensure safety and safeguarding at all times, work flexibly in the community, attend supervision and training.
Essential Skills • Knowledge of housing management issues.
• An overview of welfare benefits and entitlements.
• Good communication and negotiating skills.
• Ability to work calmly and effectively with people who may present with challenging behaviour and be in crisis.
• Understanding and awareness of confidentiality and boundary issues.
• Ability to work independently, prioritise and plan own workload.
• Good standard of IT literacy Good administration skills
• Knowledge of safeguarding and health and safety issues
