Employment basis: The role is expected to be a full- time position however we are open to discussing a more flexible or part- time approach where possible. We have a fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Land Manager to support the delivery of land acquisition, management, and access arrangements across this nationally significant infrastructure project. Our teams are set up to work flexibly, with a hybrid working approach between our offices and your home. We provide a full suite of IT equipment to ensure that our employees can work from home comfortably and effectively.
    The Role As an Assistant Land Manager, you will support the Land & Property team in managing a diverse portfolio of land interests related to the Sizewell C development. Your responsibilities will span everything from assisting in landowner negotiations to helping manage access rights and maintaining accurate records. The Skills Degree or equivalent qualification in Land Management, Surveying, Rural Practice, or related field. RICS qualified is preferable but not essential. A keen interest in working in a major infrastructure project role in the UK from a land perspective, particularly in relation to commercial property or agricultural property management and implementing compulsory acquisition powers. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Some experience or understanding of land acquisition and property law (advantageous but not essential).     This vacancy is within the Safety Case Branch of SZC Design Authority. The Design Authority Safety Case Engineer will report to safety case integration group lead of DA and will be responsible for leading the development of the various sections of the PCSR under Licence Condition 14 arrangements. A background in fault studies is desirable to lead on safety analysis sections of the PCSR. Candidates with a broader range of skills are welcomed in anticipation of future vacancies in Safety Case Branch.  Principal Accountabilities   •    As the owner of the safety case during the design and construction phases, advise the external and internal regulators and responsible designer on the adequacy of the safety case and associated deliverables,
    •    As the section lead for PCSR, govern the technical ownership of responsible topic areas relating to the safety case, set safety case strategy, manage team of safety case authors and lead sections through safety case life cycle: authoring, peer review, verification, internal regulator, external regulator, nuclear safety committee…...etc. 
    •    Act as the intelligent customer for the safety case through undertaking technical oversight over the licensing, procurement, manufacture, construction, commission and operation phases of the station lifecycle, 
    •    Develop and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders including EDF SA, EDF Nuclear Operations, EDF Hinkley Point C, EDF Nuclear Services, the Responsible Designer (EDF SA, Edvance and CNEPE), internal regulators, Office for Nuclear Regulation and supply chain partners,

The Role The Project Manager reports directly to a Senior Project Manager and is responsible for the direction and leadership of activities associated with the full life cycle delivery of a contract or work package assigned to them.  You\\\'ll be responsible to ensure delivery of all (or part of) the engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction and commissioning activities for the life cycle of the contract or work package in accordance with the overall Project schedule. You’ll ensure planning and delivery is in accordance with all safety, quality, time and cost parameters to meet the needs of the Project. Some scope of accountability may include the design and delivery of the construction works, site roads, reinforced concrete structures, and more. which are required to enable follow-on scopes to commence.  You’ll be primarily responsible for: Define the work scope to be delivered within the contract or package of work, including interfaces with other programme elements. Ensure the List of Deliverables (LOD) related to the scope of work is delivered. Lead and manage on-site project activities, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project objectives and milestones. Implement best practices in project management to optimize efficiency and quality Oversee contractor and subcontractor activities, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring smooth project progression. What You\\\'ll Bring: Proven experience as a Project Manager in large-scale infrastructure or energy projects, major complex projects (value size approx. minimum £20 mil plus), ideally such as HS2, HPC, Thames Tideway, CrossRail, Transport for London (TfL). Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges. Experience in managing contractors, consultants, and other advisors throughout large and complex construction projects in a regulated environment, including NEC or FIDIC contracts. Significant experience in the development of programmes and resource management. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills (Sizewell C has many internal and external stakeholders and interested parties with whom we must effectively engage and coordinate using positive dialogue). Experience with NEC contracts with multiprogram construction background. Detailed understanding of PWR design and experience in PWR operations. Intellectual capacity to deal with complex issues, ability to deliver contract scope within fast pace and changing environment. Experience at working in a heavily regulated environment. It’d be great if you’ve got a qualification in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field. Essential Qualifications: Degree or chartered status in an engineering or construction, physics or other related field. Good knowledge in CDM regulations.
